The connection is starting to be different. I became more far and pushed out. I don’t know what to do, I can’t just stay this way, Roran avoiding me and me being awkward towards him. What’s wrong me? Days and weeks had passed and by next week our company’s five days outing at Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park.
Today is weekend and I’m planning to have my groceries done for the week and for the needed stuffs at the outing. While I was picking the things I need, I was surprise when someone caught my attention,
“Hi!” It’s a girl, I don’t recognize her but she seems so kind and sweet. “I’m sorry for interrupting you, if I’m not mistaken you must be, Arielle?” She asked politely and smile,
“Yes! How did you know my name?” I asked curiously, maybe she’s just going to scam something from me or what.
“Oh! By the way, I’m Chloe, Adams, fiancee?” She said offering a hand shake and I was so shocked but not feeling troubled anymore,
“Oh! Hi! Chloe, nice meeting you!” I politely said and smiled back at her, “Anyway, congratulation for the both of you.” I said,
“Thank you so much and nice meeting you too, Arielle!” She said, “About you and Adam, I’m so sorry for what happened. Adam, mentioned you to me before we meet.” She said that I don’t know how to react,
“He did?” I asked curiously, making sure she doesn’t play tricks with me,
“Yes! And I’m so very thankful that I got a chance to meet you.” She said politely. Maybe Jana, was right after all, the feeling like half of you is stunned but half of you is happy.
It was just a short conversation but meeting Chloe is such a great one. I’m happy for Adam, I might be hurt because he did what he did but after all, I just need a heart of acceptance to be relieved and happy again.
