Chapter Sixteen

When we arrived at the church, luckily there’s no familiar faces around to recognize me. Roran, offered a hand so I hold him while we walk through the crowd.

“Are you okay?” He whisper as we walk pass the people,

“Slight?” I whisper and we took a sit on the fourth row.

In a minute, the wedding started. Seeing, Adam on his manly suit and while standing there on the altar. Then, Chloe, walked in so beautiful on the white dress that made me imagine again, thinking as if it was me walking down the aisle. What’s wrong with you, Arielle? Wake up! It’s never gonna happen. I feel uncomfortable and sweaty, I don’t understand my position right now, it’s like I’m aching but no one notices that I am. When to my surprise, Roran held his hand on mine while I stay focused on watching them at the altar. I guess, someone noticed it and it’s Roran, I hold him back and felt so relaxed the whole moment.

After the exchanging of vows and I do’s, we head to the reception area and there the invites are enjoying sending messages to the newly wed lover. Roran and I, sit on the vacant table and,

“Thank you!” I said,

“For what?” Roran asked while drinking the wine.

“About earlier at the ceremony?” I said slightly awkward to speak up about it, “By the way, you look so handsome today.” I complimented and smile.

“Thank you!” He said smiling, “Hey! You want to dance?” Roran offered when the music turned slow and most of the people dance to the tune.

“Nope! I don’t dance.” I said refusing when he hold my hand and go to the center,

“Follow my lead.” He whispered on my ear and look at me. Putting my hands to his shoulders and his hands on my waist.

I’ve never seen Roran this close. I didn’t recognize his perfect jawline, his thick brows, his grayish green colored eyes and his genuine smile is so perfect. Why did I have to hate him from the past months when his this so perfect human being? I just look at him and enjoy the moment.

Leanna gave her message for Adam and Chloe. Which is so sweet and very inspiring. We sit there while enjoying the whole ceremony when,

“Arielle?” I look at my side to see Kelly, Adam’s youngest sister.

“Kelly!” I hugged her so tight and when we apart, “You’ve totally grown up.” I said so gladly. When me and Adam were together Kelly was just around her seventeen and now she’s starting to be full like a woman,

“I miss you so much, Arielle!” She said and gave me a frown, “I just wish, Adam did not cheat on you.” Kelly added,

“Hey! You can still call me gummy.” I said and it left her a smile, “What happened to me and Adam, is just like a trial and error. We thought were compatible but were not because his more compatible to Chloe.” I explained and rub her ears like I always do at her,

“I get it!” Kelly said and hugged me again, “I wish we can still go on a shopping and argue a lot of things.” She said smirking while recalling those memories.
