Chapter 33

Ray feels a bit better a week later as they are in a little dress shop, because Ray finally wants to choose her wedding dress. They're in the same shop, Jass was last year.

Jass walks through the hallways and searches for a dress herself, because she needs one she'll fit with her baby bump. Ray looks through the dresses and frowns, not really finding a dress. Jass notices Ray frowning and sighs.

"We also can look for a dress in an another shop." Jass says and Ray shakes her head. "No, there was a dress, I've seen last year." Ray says and continues to look through the different dresses.

"Okay." Jass says softly and looks a dress for her own self. Jass walks into the bridesmaids section. Ray hasn't asked Jass to be her maid of honour and Jass doesn't expect it.

Ray looks at all the different dresses, they're all beautiful. But they're nothing like the one she saw last year. She finally remembers where she saw it and calls an employee to come help pick it out.

Once she sees the dress her face brightens, she's beaming just looking at it and she hasn't even tried it on. "Hey Jass?" She calls out to her best friend, keeping her eyes on the dress in her hands.

Jass walks over to Ray and smiles as she sees the dress, it suits Ray perfectly. Jass can tell from the look on her face that Ray's in love with it. "Try it on!" She cheers her best friend on, who smiles at her and walks to the fitting room to do just that.

Jass follows her and helps her get into the dress, just like Ray did for her the year before. Ray steps into the dress, faced away from the mirror as Jass helps her zip it up from behind. Once she's done she straightens her friends dress down and gives her a smile. "You can turn around now." She says softly and Ray does that.

She looks at her reflection in the mirror and covers her mouth to keep from crying out, the dress is perfect. She didn't want to try any other dresses on and now she knows why.

It's a beautiful mermaid dress, showing off her curves in the best way possible. It hugs her body in just the right way and it's flowy at the bottom, making it easier for her to walk in it. It really is her dream dress.

She feels a few tears fall from her eyes but they aren't sad tears, they're happy tears. As soon as Jass sees Rays reaction she knows this is the dress for her little sister. She beams at her and pulls her into a tight hug. "You look beautiful." Jass tells her honestly.

Ray smiles as she wipes away her tears and hugs Jass back. "Thank you." She says. She feels silly for crying, but she can't help herself. After a long, hard week this is the happiest she feels, alongside all the time she spent with Sam.

Jass kisses Ray cheek and straightens the dress from behind her. "Sam is lucky to have you." Jass whispers and bends down to smooth the rest.

Ray watches her best friend and smiles as she notices the little and just slightly showing baby bump which you can see through her tshirt. Jass smiles at Ray, "What are you smiling at?"

"You just have this glow and you can see the small baby bump through your t-shirt." Jass blushes slightly and smiles shyly. "T-Thank you." She says shyly.

"So you take it?" Jass asks her happily a moment later. Ray nods excitedly, "Yes." Ray says with a huge smile and Jass helps her to get out of the dress. Ray takes her clothes back on and they walk out of the fitting room.

Ray hands the dress to an employee, telling her that they have one more dress to buy. Jass frowns and looks at Ray in confusion. "Who's dress are we going to buy?" She asks curiously.

Ray shakes her head and lets out a small laugh. "Yours." She says with a smile. Jass smiles softly and places a hand on her friends shoulder. "You really don't have to, we can come back another day." Ray shakes her head again, this time in disagreement.
