Friends' Lives (Sam & Dean Winchester)

Chapter 9

Dean looks around the lake as Sam fixes up some lights he hung on a nearby tree. He is actually going to do it, he is going to propose to Jass.

He fiddles with the ring box in his hands a little before putting it in his back pocket, deciding it'd be best if he doesn't play with it.

He places roses on the grass, leading to where he plans to ask the big question. He is nervous as hell and Sam notices.

He lets go of the lights and walks over to Dean "You alright dude?" He asks concerned.

Dean nods and gives him a nervous smile "I'm fine" He lied and swallows hard.

Sam notices how nervous he is and he also knows Dean's lying. "Dude, she's going to say yes. She loves you so much." He assures his big brother and pats Dean's shoulder.

Dean gives him a small smiles, "I hope so." Dean says and swallows hard. They finish fixing up everything until it's time to pick up Jass from work.

"Good luck, but I'm pretty sure you don't need it." Sam says as they walk to their cars.

Dean gives Sam a smile and opens his car door "Thanks" He says before getting in. He waves bye to his brother and starts the car.

He nervously begins to make his way to Jass' work, turning on some tunes he hopes will calm him down. About 20 minutes later he gets there and waits in the car for her patiently.

Sam gets into his car and drives to his work place, he sacrificed his break to help his big brother.

Jass look at her wrist watch and smiles as she finally can leave work. She tidies up her desk and puts her coffee mug into the small kitchen of the break room.

She takes her jacket on and grabs her purse as she shoves the chair to the desk.

She leaves the office and walks to the elevator, she smiles at the thought of Dean picking her up. She checks her messages and sees one from her mother, asking Jass if they could meet up next week.

She decides to answer later, it's not that she hasn't got a good relationship with her mom. It's just she will answer it later in no rush.

She walks out of the elevator and building and she smiles at Dean as she sees him standing in front of his car. "Hey baby." she says as she approaches him and pecks his lips softly.

"Hey" He says with a soft smile and he opens her car door for her, being the gentleman he is. She smiles in amusement and happily gets in the car, him closing the door after her.

Honestly he's just being on his best behavior today, not that he's a dick other days but that he just wants to make this day special for Jass and that means spoiling her in every single way possible. And he doesn't mind it at all.

He walks over to the other side of the car and gets in the car. She smiles at him as he gets in the car and gives him another peck on the lips. "Thank you for picking up." she says sweetly and buckled her belt.

"Of course" He says softly and gives her a small smile. He buckles his own belt and drives out of the company's parking lot and out into the road.

"Hey, I was thinking maybe we could.." He shrugs "I don't know, make a quick stop on the way before heading home?" He asks, trying not to sound too nervous.

She smiles softly at him. She loves spending time with him, although she's kind of tired because of work.

"Uh, yeah sure." She smiles at him and leans back in her seat. She notices him being weird, but she thinks it's just because of work.
