Friends' Lives (Sam & Dean Winchester)

Chapter 5

Ray rests her head on Sams chest and snuggles into the blankets as they watched a movie. Sam suggested it since none of them are that sleepy and Ray can never say no to him.

Here they are on the couch, watching tv and cuddling. Some people would think they're a couple, and some people actually have thought that they are but they both know they are just best friends. At least that's what they told theirselves.

Ray is in denial of her crush on Sam. She always tries to brush off the feeling, she gets when he enters the room, or how she feels when she wakes up and sees him in the morning.

They might not be a couple but they share an apartment. Sometimes things would get a little tense though, when one of them would bring someone home or if they catch each other coming out of the shower. But they always get over it the next day and things get back to normal. After all their friendship is 'platonic'.

Sam loves cuddling with Ray and he would like to do so much more things to her. He would like to kiss her, wake up next to her and spend the time as close as he can with her.

Sam is in love with Ray, but he keeps saying himself, she doesn't. But we all know, they do love each other, they really do.

This seems ridiculous, why doesn't he just tell her? He got dumbed a year before he met Ray.

There was this girl, named Lara, he liked her a lot. He wasn't in love with her, like he's with Ray, but he wanted to take her on date.

He met with Lara and told her how he felt about her, but she laughed about him. She told him, he isn't her type and she doesn't like guys like him.

Of course Sam would never compare Ray with Lara, because Ray is so special, so so special. She means so much to him, he doesn't want to end the friendship, because of his stupid feelings.

That's why he loves this little cuddles so much, it lets him be close to her, lets him feel her body close to his.

And this isn't even meant in a sexual way, of course he thinks about her in that way too, but he loves being close to her and spending time with her, the woman he loves so much.

Usually Ray is brave, she isn't one to shy away from things but when it comes to her feelings for Sam it is like she is a whole different person.

She knows about his past with Lara and she thinks that he probably doesn't want a relationship, definitely not with his best friend after her. But boy is she wrong about that.

Ray isn't really one to love, she hasn't known what love means before she met Sam. I mean of course she's been in relationships, but she's never actually loved anyone, at least not the real love she feels when she's with Sam.

That's why she treasures moments like these, when she's close and cozy next to him. She loves the little moments like these, being wrapped in his arms, it just makes her feel safe. She smiles to herself as she thinks about it and cuddles even closer to Sam.

Of course we could repeat how much he loves those moments with her and she does with him, but we don't, although it's cute.

Sam watches the movie, but doesn't really focuses on it. He keeps watching at Ray, how she rests her head on his chest.

His arm around her tightens slightly and he tries to pull her closer without making her feel uncomfortable or interrupting the moment.

"What is your favourite movie? I think that's a question, I've never asked you in those three years." He chuckles softly.
