Dean never left her side. For the entire night, he held his wife's hand and waited for her to wake up. He stayed up all night for her until at some point, he has fell asleep with Jass' small hand captured in his large one.

The next morning Jass wakes up with a huge headache. She looks around at her surroundings as she tries to figure out where she is. She realizes she's in a hospital, even though she doesn't remember being brought there.

She looks over to her side and sees Dean holding her hand, her heart sinking as she sees how tired and worn out he is. The last thing she remembers is the horn of a truck before she got here.

She remembers being with Ray at the time and gets a little worried since she doesn't know what happened to her. She tries to sit up and winces in pain.

Dean stirs awake as he feels Jass moving and looks up, squeezing her hand. "J- Jass?! You're up." He breathes out in shock. "Oh thank god you're up!" He sighs out in relief before pulling her into a loving hug.

She winces slightly because of the pain as he hugs her and wraps her left arm around her husband. She feels Dean crying into her shoulder and she frowns slightly, not understanding what is happening.

"Dean, what happened?" She says weakly. Dean looks at her face, which has bruises and wounds on her right side, with his red and puffy eyes.

Dean swallows hard as he feels a new wave of tears filling his eyes, "Y-You h-had an ac-accident and the truck crushed your right side." Dean sobs out.

Jass panics and automatically places her left hand on her stomach which lets Dean cry even more and she panics even more, "Is-Is the baby okay?" she asks him quietly.

Dean sobs harder and shakes his head, "We-We l-lost the b-baby." Dean gets out and Jass immediately begins to cry, feeling so empty although the baby was just a month old.

She covers her face with her left hand and begins to cry into it, "I'm-I'm so so so-sorry, I-I couldn't pr-protect our b-baby." Jass sobs out.

Dean stands up and kisses her forehead lovingly as he holds her hand, "I-It's not y-your f-fault." Dean cries out and rests his forehead against hers.

The couple cry together for what seems like forever , sobbing against each other and letting their emotions out. This is one of the hardest things they've ever been through.

They lost a baby, their baby. Even though they've never really met him or her, they loved, and still love he/she. It's a part of them, and they can't believe they lost someone so special.

Dean places his hand on Jass' stomach, not wanting to believe their child is gone, wanting to believe it's still there with them. As Jass feels Deans hand on her stomach, even more tears break out.

She thinks back to all the little moments she had with Dean as they thought about baby names, as he caressed her now-gone baby belly. How he used to talk to the little one. It just makes her tears spill out into a never ending flow.

Both their hearts are broken, more than they've ever been broken before. They feel like they can never get rid of the pain inside them, yet still.. being there together makes it just a little more bearable, knowing they have each other to count on. Knowing they have each other to lean on.

Dean's lying on Jass' left side and she rests her head on his chest as she continues to cry. She misses her baby, she wants to have it back, giving it life.

Jass feels so guilty for not taking care better, although she knows it's not her fault that the truck crushed into her side, but still. She has loved her child, still does, from the beginning she found out. And now? Their child is gone.
