Friends' Lives (Sam & Dean Winchester)

Chapter 23

Dean comes home and throws his keys onto the living room table. He kicks his shoes off and shrugs his jacket off, hanging it.

He smiles as he sees Jass on the couch in the living room. "Hey baby." He says softly and leans down to give her a loving kiss, which she returns.

She smiles against his lips before he pulls away. "Hey." She welcomes him and he grins. "I'm just going to change then we'll watch a movie together ok?"

She nods, even though her heart is racing under her skin, still scared what she discovered earlier today. Dean walks inside their bedroom and changes into comfortable clothes.

After he's put on his pjs he joins his wife in the living room, plopping down next to her. "How was your day?" He asks her softly.

She gulps but forces a smile. "It was normal, just...watched movies. What about you?" She shrugs, playing it cool. Dean notices her being weird but brushes it off. "It was pretty ok." He tells her and gives her a peck on the lips before turning on a movie.

She smiles at him and leans into his side as he wraps an arm around her. He kisses her forehead and rests his head against hers, "Are you feeling better today?" He mumbles against her hair.

"Yeah, I'm feeling better." she says softly and turns her head to look at him and gives him a loving smile. "I'm glad to hear that baby." he says and kisses her head.

She smiles to herself and turns on a movie they agreed on. She makes herself comfortable and rests her head on his chest, watching the movie.

They make it about halfway through the movie before Dean needs to excuse himself. "I'll be back in a second, I just need to go to the bathroom ok?" She gives him a smile and nods. He gives her a kiss on the head, making her close her eyes at the gesture, and heads to the bathroom.

Once he takes care of himself and flushes the toilet, he washes his hands and notices something on the sink counter.

He turns off the faucet and dries his hands before taking it in his hands, his eyes widening as he realizes its a pregnancy test.

His hands shake as he sees the two lines, meaning she's pregnant. He feels an overwhelming joy flow over him and he immediately makes his way out to Jass with the test in hand.

"Y- You're pregnant?" He says breathlessly, his voice breaking slightly as he tries to stop tears of happiness from falling.

She stutters as she sees him holding the test, mentally face palming herself for letting it there. She swallows hard and looks at him, "Y-Yes, I-I'm pregnant." she says unsurely.

She nervously chews on her lip, he makes her nervous standing there in the doorframe and just looking at her. He doesn't even answer on that and she begins to fiddle with her hands.

"D-Dean, you're making me nervous." she says and straightens in her position. Dean walks towards her and places the test on the coffee table.

He doesn't say anything, he just pulls her into a hug and kisses her head. "I-I'm going to be a Dad." he says and lets a tear fall. Jass feels herself tearing up and hugs him tightly to her.

He pulls away and cups her cheek as he gives her a short and loving kiss. "I'm going to be Dad." He says again as he pulls away. Jass nods and smiles at him.

"A- And you're going to be a Mom." He almost chokes on a sob. "The mom of my child." Jass gives him a loving look and nods, not able to speak at the moment as she's too overwhelmed with happiness.

Dean pulls her into another tight hug before slowly getting down on his knees and placing a hand on her belly. The sight makes Jass' heart flutter, she can't believe Dean is this happy. She can't believe they're having a baby together.

"When'd you find out?" Dean asks, interrupting Jass' thought process. "Today, before you came home." She says softly, making him smile. "Why didn't you tell me right away?" He questions curiously, looking up at her.

Jass looks down at him, "I didn't know how you would react. I remember the first time you thought I was pregnant and you freaked out. You were a mess more than I was." she says and lets out a small laugh. Dean shakes his head, "But we're married now and I'd love to have a family with you." He says softly and sits down next to her again.

She smiles at him and her heart flutters at the words, "You make me so happy." he says cupping her cheek and pecks her lips softly. She blushes slightly and smiles slightly at him, "You make me happy too."

He smiles lovingly at her and pulls her close to him, placing a hand on her, not existing baby bump. "I can't wait to have this baby with you." He tells her and kisses her head.

She smiles at him, "Me neither." she says softly and hugs him close to her. "I love you, Dean." He smiles and kisses her head a bit longer this time. "I love you too, Jass."
