My mom grins with a tear in her eye. She breaths heavily now as she looks through the tinted window. Mom is about to break out crying now. "I don't wanna die," she says."I don't want you to die either. Your the only thing that I have left since Dad died and Cade got arrested," I cry. I can't help but think about all my hate towards my brother, Cade. He had caused way to much pain to this family.
" I will not leave you. I am going to stay! I'm gonna stay at your bedside until the day you die.""Then your not gonna be here long. Death is coming for me. I can feel it. Even though I don't want this to happen, I am kinda eager for it to happen. I am done with all this suffering and misery."
"So am I Mom. So am I."
"Casey, take my hand." She hands me a small little box with a red bow tied tightly. "When you are feeling down, just open the box and remember who you are. Who we were." I look back up at her. Her eyes are blinking slowly and I know what this is heading towards. "There is two. One for you and your brother." She then strokes my dark black hair and touches my cheek. I lean towards her. "I will love you,"she says," Always."
