Staring at an old photo of me and Mom after the tragedy, I think of what has happened the past four years.

A month after the murder, I sat in Mom's bed watching Tv when the news channel came on. We watched it because there was nothing else. But when it was nearing it's end it showed my father's murder and the car crash in remembrance of us. I turned it off and chucked the remote across the room. I turned to Mom, with tears in my eyes. "Why did this happen to us?!" I exclaim. She started stroking my hair and looked into my eyes."It's okay, it's okay!" she said touching my cheek. "Remember when you were little I said to you that there are no monsters in the world?" I nodded. "There are. They're people. People who kill. People who don't care much. They still need love though. Everything that inhabits this world has some love in them. Cade is one of those people. And he needs love just as much as we do."
