At the café in the book store, I sit in the place that a last sat, finishing the last page of AIA. I am freaking out. And as I read the last sentence it completely stops. I slap my face into the final pages of the book and yell in my head 'why does it have to end this way!'. I look like a complete fool. I immediately call Hazel.
"J-ello."
"Hazel. I think I'm dying."
"WHAT!" she screams into the phone. "It can't end this way!"
"I know! AIA's ending makes me so miserable!"
"Oh my god. I hate you so much."
"Hahahahaha," I laugh.
"I stopped breathing for a second. You know how bad that is for me?"
"Ehahahahah! I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I didn't mean for you to stop breathing or take it seriously. Hahahaha!"
"You finished AIA? Was it good?"
"Heck yeah it was!" I exclaim. "Dat ending though."
"Shall we discuss this at your house?"
"Yes! I'm heading home right now," I say picking up my book and putting it away in my bag.
When I reach my house Hazel is awaiting at the door step. I let her in and I help her walk up the stairs to my room.
"Oh my gosh! I am obsessed with this book!"
"Haha. You will never be the same ever again," Hazel says in an evil voice. I laugh hard.
"Tell me my copy is missing the last ten pages!"
"Hahaha! That's what Gus said too." She looks down at the bedspread.
"Hazel?"
"Yeah?" she says looking up back at my face.
"What was Gus like?"
"Hmm. Gus was amazing. He was a funny, witty boy who just wanted to be a hero. He wanted to make a mark on this world and have the most extraordinary life. But at least he made a mark on my life and made it extraordinary."

"I may have wanted to a great, well known person and have a extraordinary life..."
