"What?" I say surprised. I don't know what to think. Is that supposed to be a good thing or bad thing?
"We found a cure. I know it's kinda late but-."
"Kinda late?" I yell interrupting. "My mother was dying in that bed wishing that she would return back home alive! And now it's been weeks since she has died. And you say it's 'kinda' late. I know that she was gonna die anyway but still! You could have at least told me there was a cure!"
"Coping, really?"
"Ugh!" I say stomping my foot. I start to walk out.
Right before I leave the room he says my name. "Casey," he calls out, "Your mother's death may save thousands of people in the future." I nod and shut the door.
Someone knocks on my door. I open it to find Hazel Grace standing besides Isaac with three tubs of ice cream. Just what I needed.
