I sit in my room staring at the shadows on the walls. Their mouths move rapidly and loudly almost like the barking of two wolfs. These shadows are Dad and Cade. Cade cares nothing about my father's heed to stop. He wants nothing to do with us. Cade charges off outside while my dad follows. And I do too.Dad is still screaming at him to stop his actions. But that does not work. Nothing does anymore. Cade jumps into his car and starts the engine. My dad is in the middle of the dark road with his hand held in front of him, his eyes glistening in the headlights. I stand on the grass shouting, "NO! NO! GET OUT OF THE WAY!"
With Dad's hand still held high, Cade presses the pedal as hard as he can and is sent at full speed. His car hits Dad and Dad is hurtled over his car. I hear the tires screech as the body rolls to its stop, shattering it's bones every second. The car still driving though trying to break, hits the light pole causing fire to light the starry sky. A piece of metal from the car slides across the street to me. I fall to my knees and lay with my face into the grass. Crying. Barely breathing. I see the police car lights and as I see this I hear shattering glass coming from the opening of the wrecked car. Cade is still alive.
He crawls out of the car with blood on his arms and huge bruises on his face. I walk over to him with a nasty glare.
"Hey little sis," he says. I scrunch up me nose and punch him as hard as I possible can. With my fist in the air, ready for another, Mom and a cop hold me back. Cade looks up with blood running across his nose and many cuts scarring his face. I broke his nose.
A cop takes him away as I stare at my father's limp corpse being put into a body bag. I take my last glance at my father and the man zips it up. I will never be the same.
