Cade's mouth is wide open. His eyebrows beginning to move into what seems like anger. His once calm hand is turned into a fist. His fingers crack as every finger clenches. The guard behind me begins to sit up but I hold out my hand to signal to the guard that it's okay. Cade drops the phone and slams his hands on the counter. He stands up and walks to the concrete wall. He punches his fist on the wall for what feels like a million times.

"CADE!!!" I scream.

"Why would this happen!!!" he yells still standing but turned to the wall.

"You say that the heaviest burden is killing someone. That is true. But you have never, ever in your whole life...seen someone die in front of you. So far I've seen three!" I pant angrily. "But Mom," I say pausing, "Mom wouldn't have ever wanted us to feel this way." Cade's head tilts downwards.

I drop the little bowed box. He turns around completely.

"What's this?"

"Mom gave it to me...right before she died. She said that there were two. One for me and one for you." He stares at the box as he slides into his chair quietly. "I haven't looked inside it yet and I knew Mom would have loved to see us together finally. And opening it." His eyes look towards me now.

"Okay?"
