I was in a car. I could tell that. My feet were resting on someone's lap and my head was resting on something soft but I could tell that it wasn't human unlike the lap. Oh My God! I had been attacked by some crazy psychos who were going to skin me alive and kill me! Why would they kill me?! I hadn't gone anything bad to anyone in my life had I?! I tried to calm down and told myself I wouldn't help myself If I was having a mini panic attack.
I could hear 'I'll Be In The Sky' by B.O.B playing in the background softly.
"Is she awake yet?" I heard someone ask, coming from the front towards the right hand side where the drivers side was. I was but I wasn't going to open my eyes and make it obvious.
If I didn't show any signs of waking up then I could trick them and run like hell.
"No not yet." I heard someone whisper towards my legs.
"Make sure not to wake her up in the car. She might freak out and do something crazy." This voice came from the front too. So there was three people in this car! Well four including me. And these voices sounded really familiar, but I just couldn't put my finger on it. Argh! Not my day today!
I kept my eyes closed and my breathing even the whole way through the ride until I felt the car slow down, stop and turn off.
We were here.
I heard the two car doors open at the front and their footsteps as they made their way to the back door. The door that was near the person sitting with my legs on their lap opened and the left dropping me legs towards the seat.
Someone dragged my waist and dragged me out of the car and I made myself go all floppy and uncoordinated.
When I got outside my eyes flashed open and I got a glimpse of Chris as he lifted me out of the car. CHRIS!
I panicked and kneed him where it hurts. When he bent down to protect himself I kicked his face and he collapsed to the ground in pain. Even if they are werewolves it still hurts when you get kicked there. I would have done an evil laugh but I didn't have time. I got a glimpse of a house before I legged it towards the woods.
The house was huge and looked really classy. I felt so poor just looking at it. Not that I am, me and my mum are actually doing OK. But still. It was made of light brown wood and had a darker shade for the roof. There were stairs leading up towards the house then a little gravel pathway then another set of stairs towards the front door. And it had the sort of windows you wouldn't have in the city for fear of being easily robbed by just smashing it.
I ran through the woods and I was amazed at myself. I did not know I could run this fast, not that I bothered to do anything in Physical Ed before. I ducked to avoid the large tree branch that was about to hit my head and jumped over a fallen branch. My jeans were ripped at the bottom and soaking wet from the large puddles in the woods and my bare arms were getting cut badly from being snagged on the littler branches from the trees. They were pretty sharp.
I saw towards the front of the woods were they thinned out some cars passing by. As I got closer I realised it was a motorway. Maybe If they saw me come out of the woods they could help me and get me out of here away from these...crazy people. I hope so. I kicked my speed a notch and in my haste I tripped over a bunch of weeds on the forest floor. I put my hands out in front of me to take the fall and I landed with a thud and the mud and water splashed across my face and my clothes.
I quickly got up but when I put weight on my right foot it gave way and I quickly fell down to the ground again. Sh*t! I sprained my ankle.
I got up slower this time and took my time, using the branches from the trees as support.
I took off again but this time I was limping and I used the trees to help me. I heard the thumps of footfalls behind me and the heavy panting of an animal. How had he caught up so quickly!
I tried going faster and I was so close to the motorway full of people who could help me and take me back to my mother. Back home where I could be safe and warm. And not running for my life.
They were getting closer and I looked behind me. I could see its dark russet coloured fur and its dark azure eyes. Chris.
I let go of the tree and tried to run faster but since I had let go of my support my leg gave way and I fell to the forest floor once again.
Chris stopped less than a metre away from me. I backed up towards a large oak tree and coward away from him whilst my tears mixed up with the heavy rain descending from the sky, when had it started to rain?
Chris looked at me with sad eyes filled with pain.
My ankle was killing me and I was shivering from the cold. My eyes started getting heavy and it was getting harder to keep them open.
The for the second time that day, I blacked out again.
=======================================================
I woke up in a warm room. In a bed.
The walls were a dark blue and had poster of Three Days Grace and Bullet For My Valentine. At least they had a good taste in music.
I noticed someone had changed me from my old wet and muddy clothes to an oversized black t-shirt that reached the middle of my thighs. OK, who had changed me?! Someone had put a bandage on my ankle and it felt a little better because there was no pressure on it.
I was thinking of how I was supposed to escape now when I was hurt when the door opened and there stood Chris.
I glared at him and he looked back at me with a soft loving gaze. Wait! Hold up, hold up! Loving?!
"We need to talk." He said quietly.
"You think."
