========================================

Chris looked at me, confused and hurt by my actions. Well to be honest I would be confused too considering I was just holding his hand a few minutes ago.

As I stared out the window I noticed two things. One, that Mr.Arrogant was also staring at me in confusions. OK, does this guy not have a life that he has to live through people he meets on trains?!

And number two was that we were now approaching North Camp station which was the next station closest to my house.  Slowly I stood up and walked over to the middle of the aisle and noticed that Chris was still sitting down looking ahead of him with a frustrated frown.

I sighed. "Come on Chris." I said monotone. He glanced up at me and also stood up. Still limping a bit, I really need to see someone about this I think, I made my way down the carpeted aisle when I felt rough hands grab my left elbow tightly.

I looked back and realised it wasn't Chris as I had first though. No, it was my best friend, sarcasm, Mr.Arrogant. I really need to learn his name...

"Don't let him get away." He whispered whilst looking consiprationally behind me.

"What?" I said out loud, really confused by what he had just told me.

"I said, don't let him get away. He really cares about you, even I can see that." He said back.

I gave a small laugh and shook my head.

"OK." I said back really confused by this guy. When I first met him he looked like he had wanted to kill me or something. Then I quickly remembered something and turned on my heel back towards him.

"By the way.....what's you're name?"

"Anthony." He replied with a little smile playing on the corners of his lips.

"OK. Bye."

"What don't I get to know you're name?"

"Hailey." I said and walked towards Chris who had somehow made his way to the door whilst I had been talking to Anthony.

I limped over and stood beside him leaving about 30cm space between us and held on to the bright yellow pole besides the sliding doors.

We stood in silence and I felt like you could cut the tension between us with a knife. I don't know what he felt like but he didn't look that much better.

The train approached the station and slowed down to a stop. I bashed my fist on the button as soon as it stopped and hopped out the train with Chris right behind me.

The crowds dispersed around us and I started to make my way towards the exit when another arm grabbed my elbow. But this time it being my right one.

Tingles shot up my arm and down my spine and I shivered. I knew who it was.

I quickly jerked my arm out of their grasp and turned around sharply to look at him. I didn't want to look in his eyes because I knew if I did I would get lost in them and forget my promise to myself.

"What do you want?" I snarled and Chris flinched. Guilt and regret flashed through my heart. OK, I said to not talk to him unnecessarily not go n complete b*tch mode.

"What do you want?" I asked back to the monotone voice.

Chris looked down at me, yeah I'm a bit short, with pain flashing in his eyes.

"Why were you flirting with him?" He said quietly.

"Who?" I asked honestly confused.

"That Anthony guy." He said adding a sneer when he said his name. I laughed and turned back around to walk towards the exit.

"No I wasn't." I said with actual emotion in my voice, humour.

"Yes you were!" He said and I detected some jealousy in his voice. Aww that is so sweet. No, don't start Hailey.

"No I wasn't." I said as I stepped out into the cold air. When did it get so cold I thought as I shivered. Chris saw this and took of his grey jumper, putting it over my shoulders and I inhaled his smell.

"Yes you were!?" He said getting straight back into the argument after seeing that I was comfortable. He really is an insistent little bugger isn't he?

"Dude! He is like...old!!" I said back at him and held out my arm for a taxi.

"Then what were you talking about?" He asked.

Don't let him go....

"Nothing." I replied quietly as a taxi pulled out of the road next to me and the rain burst out of the clouds soaking through my hair, dress and Chris' jumper.

I hopped in quickly and grabbed Chris' arm taking him out of the cold and rain. I told the driver the address and he pulled back out into the road.

I was looking out of the window when I felt a weight on my shoulder. Turning around I saw it was Chris, fast asleep, his eyelashes stuck together, a faint glow on his tanned cheeks and snoring softly through his open mouth.

I laughed softly and put his head on my lap, running my hands through his soft, soaked hair.

At least I get to do this one more time....
