Chapter Two

Loula

Days later, I found myself looking out onto the terrace. The gardens were in full bloom, and there was a promise of summer approaching. I had never seen such beauty before. Lush green lawns with roses in all colors had bloomed everywhere. I ran outside joyfully to see all the beauty from a closer point of view. I saw paradise in front of me as a light breeze caressed my face. I closed my eyes, sucked in the fresh air, and just stood there listening to the wind chimes play their seducing music softly as my mind relaxed in meditation mode.

It did not take Nidal long to find me. He quickly hid the worried expression on his face and covered it with a smile. Even after all this time, all the lovemaking, and all the reassuring words we had shared, Nidal still felt insecure. So it was my job to constantly remind him that he was my whole world and there would never be another to take his place ever.

I reached over to him and kissed him tenderly. I saw that light in his eyes that appeared right before he wanted to make love to me. Why is it never enough for him? We had sex every night, every morning, and, many times, even in the late afternoons, and still, it was not enough. That worried me because I knew he still felt insecure and that could cause problems in this relationship.

He already had me locked up in his room all day, and when I had the chance to exit the room, he was right behind me within seconds. If I didn't love him so much and understand him the way I did, I would feel suffocated. Nidal pulled me into his grip and kissed me hungrily. Every time he did that, it felt like the very first time. The gardeners were busy watering the lawn, but that did not stop them from glancing over at us.

Nidal was in his own little world, oblivious to anyone or anything around him as he pressed his groin against my womanhood, sending ripples of sensation throughout my entire body. I saw one of the gardener's drop his bucket and stare at us with his mouth agape, and behind him walked a young servant girl holding a basket of vegetables staring bashfully at us. I realized that we had an audience. I quickly pulled away from Nidal, and he gave me a questioning look, just as one of the servants came running to us and announced a visitor.

Princess Shaeena elegantly made her way to us, looking as beautiful as ever. She was dressed in a maroon silk gown that showed off her tiny waist. Her hair was long and flowing. The cascading locks emanated a fragrance in the air. She wore diamond earrings with a matching diamond necklace that sported a teardrop going down her cleavage. With a wicked smile on her lips, she walked right up to Nidal and kissed him on his lips. Nidal tensed as he gently pulled away from her and took hold of my hand, a gesture that did not go unnoticed from the princess. Her smile faded quickly when she looked at me with jealousy written all over her face as she finally acknowledged my presence as well. I smiled sweetly at her, trying to hide my annoyance, but she saw right through me. My prince was unaware of the tension in the air.

The princess joined us for brunch on the queen's insistence, and even though the princess seemed pleasant and gracious, I could see behind her shield. She wanted my Nidal, and she was out to get him. She was waiting for a crack in our relationship for her to jump in, but I was not about to give her that opportunity. I smiled back at her, a grin that spoke a thousand words. She read my smile, and her eyes laughed at me. She was letting me know that she was on the prowl, and I knew she would strike if I turned my back.
