Chapter 12||

Bryant and I these past couple weeks have been hanging out and going on dates, but I never gave him an explanation about the outburst after we kissed. I didn't think he would want to know.

Celeste has been making Pinterest boards about her wedding. She's been asking about wedding dresses and has been looking at venues. She's been nothing but happy. "Do you think I'm annoying him?"

"Annoying him how? If anything I always annoy my brother."

"Yeah, but all I've been talking to him about is the wedding. I think he wants a break!" She exclaims. She takes a sip of her coffee and scrolls through her phone.

I look down at my nails, then back to my phone where a notification pops up. Creative Writing Assignment, due next Tuesday. It's Saturday. 8

"Crap." Waves of nervousness crowds around me.

"What?"

"No, it's just my creative writing assignment is due really soon. I haven't even started." I complain. Celeste stops in her tracks and smiles at me, "There's our favorite coffee shop down the street. Let's go. Knowing you, you probably have your computer in that big bag so let's go."

She pulls me to the coffee shop and she orders me my favorite while I start getting everything ready for my writing spree. I've been thinking a lot about what I would write. My professor said we could write about anything, I was ready to write about it. Our only guidelines were; have fun and write five pages.

I was going to spill my heart onto these five pages.

Celeste

She stared at her computer for what felt like hours. I didn't know how she could do it! I've never been that special, I've never really wanted to write about anything except fashion.

I've designed things for as long as I can remember. I made it into an art high school in Texas. My family loved how creative I was, I loved it too. It was a de-stresser for me.

So I got out a pencil and started sketching out my dream dress. It would have a lovely train, low cut in the back, and have some sort lace on it. I didn't think I would ever be able to design full time. In all real ness I came with Ellie here to make sure she would be okay after Josh and what he did.

Josh never should have entered her life. She was clueless, she thought she loved him. It was like she was in her honeymoon phase all the time. But one night she came home with bruises and her arm in a sling, she told her family that she fell down the stairs at his house. But I knew it wasn't true.

"So Celeste, do you think it's okay that I'm talking about love in the paper thing."

I took a sip of my cappuccino and smiled at her, "Are you feeling love?"

A giggle escaped her mouth, "Well you're getting married to my brother and I got a kiss a couple nights ago."

"A KISS!!"

"Shh! Keep it down, but yes because we didn't get too on New Years. But right afterwards I wasn't feeling right."-She took in a breath and looked into her coffee-"He looked like Josh again. It was crazy."

"Don't feel ashamed or mad. Things like that can happen. Josh took up almost all your free time and he was the only one you could kiss. But did this kiss feel different?" I asked.

Blush spread across her cheeks, "Way different, it was magical."

"I'm glad."

Ellie

Getting home, I stripped out of my old clothes and put on my pajamas. Crawling into bed I wrapped myself in my blankets and put on my glasses so I could read, I don't normally need glasses but when they were tired or strained my doctor said to use them.

Celeste is on a date and she said she wouldn't be home for awhile. So that meant I would be home alone. Brooke still wasn't back home, I wasn't that worried because one time or another we all had gone off the radar. But she never seemed like the girl to do it.

I sent a text to Bryant saying to come over. Being home alone really isn't the best thing ever, so I would love if my boyfriend would come over. I heard the door open and I didn't move from where I was, he would have to find me. "Elle, where are you?" He yelled.

"Somewhere were you'll never find me!" I smiled, soon enough he made his way into my bedroom and laid down next to me, "So no one is home, huh?" He smirked. I could tell what he was thinking and it wouldn't be happening.

"No one is home. But that doesn't mean a thing."-I kissed his cheek-"I just wanted cuddles from my favorite person."

He laughed at me but I felt his arms go around my waist. I smiled and chuckled on my next. "So are you feeling better after last night?"

"Yeah, I just was surprised. That's all." I was surprised Bryant turned into him.

"I've kissed some girls in my lifetime and they've never had that same reaction. Pushing someone away, that is." He whispered.

"Well I guess those girls haven't had a guy that would stoop so low to hit his girlfriend right after a kiss." It was painful to say that, I didn't want to. But it needed to be said. I'm not like those other girls, I've been through more trauma then they have.

"And I look up to you for going through that. You're a strong ass woman and I don't think you believe that." I couldn't see his expression but I knew it was something caring and that he didn't want anything bad to happen to me.

"The truth is I've never believed that."

"You're so strong and there's so much I want to say to you right now. And I love you for it. But one of the things I need you to repeat to yourself is, you're a strong ass woman and you can't let the little things get to you."

That's all I needed to hear.
