Getting to my parents house was always a struggle. The morning of I woke up with a really bad headache and Bry wasn't any help. He was talking the whole entire morning and I definitely wasn't okay with what he was saying. He also offered to get a bottle of wine and I asked the wine gods to make sure he got the right bottle. It was always more of a hassle with him.

The drive there was fine. The radio was on low, I was texting Celeste making sure everything was going okay at my parents house. My parents love her, they see her as their daughter more than they see me. But that's besides the point. Her parents there and all of them were making conversation. My brothers were behaving themselves which was good but I knew right when they saw Bryant everything would change.

I looked in the rear-view mirror and fixed my lipstick. Bry was staring at me the whole time with a smile on his face. I was bouncing my knee because I was scared my parents weren't going to like him. At least he had a better job than me, that'd make them happy. I could already tell. "Stop freaking out."

"If only it was that easy." I mumbled. I put my lipstick back into my purse and opened the door so I could walk to the front door. Today I was wearing a red dress that was short sleeve, it was comfy and definitely good for impressing my parents. They also had this fear I didn't have enough money for everything I wanted to do, but I proved them wrong.

I was walking up the driveway when Bryant stopped me and pulled me close, "There's stuff going on in that head of yours. Calm down, alright? I'm great with parents." He kissed my forehead which calmed me down. But I heard the front door open and there were my brothers and my dad. This wasn't going to go well, I could tell.

Brett and Elijah stepped out onto the porch and I quickly gave them both hugs. "Hi, how are you boys?" I asked. Why did I say it like that?

Brett nodded his head, "I'm great. Happy to see you."

Elijah hugged me tighter. "No running away this time, alright?"

I stifled a laugh and moved over to my dad. He had his arms opened already and I gladly accepted the embrace. I know sometimes my dad could be a pain, but I've always been daddy's little girl. My opinion wouldn't change, even after everything that would happen and did happen. Bry shook Brett's hand and Brett didn't look impressed, he's never impressed though. He went over to Elijah and shook his hand and he looked happy. I moved away from my dad and watched as my dad pulled Bry into a hug and how surprised Bry was. "Bryant, it's nice to meet you. Jacob has told us lots." My dad and brothers walked into the house and Bry gave me a look.

"You haven't told them about us? Or anything like that?"

I took in a breath and pushed past him, "I swear to god, Bry. Lets just see how the night goes, alright?" I walked over to Celeste who had a glass of wine in her hands. She quickly wrapped her arms around me and when she pulled away she had a huge smile on her face, "Look at you! Gorgeous girly!"

"Aw, thank you. I didn't know if a dress was too much.." I trailed off and smiled at her mom then brought my attention back to her. "It's more comfortable for me."

She nodded her head with a big smile on her face. I heard Bry talking to Jacob which made my life easier. If the boys saw Jacob talking to Bry then they'd start liking him more. It's science. Or at least that's how my brothers work. Celeste's mom pulled me over and gave me a huge hug, "Look at you! It's like I haven't seen you in years."

I laughed. "It feels like it doesn't it! I missed talking to you about all my problems, my very first 'therapist.'" I joked. She laughed and motioned towards the wine on the table and handed me a glass. "Oh no. I'm fine, I'll stick with water." Her smile faltered as I walked away and I swear she looked down at my stomach, I swear. Unless I'm going crazy, then that's a possible situation.
