Chapter 17||

I woke up not feeling well. I didn't feel well mentally, maybe it was because of the plane ride or I was super nervous. It could've been either but, Bryant woke up with a smile so that meant I needed to have a smile.

So I got out of bed and did my normal thing. Bryant was somewhere in his apartment, I had no idea what he was doing. I quickly changed into my joggers and white shirt and made my way towards the kitchen. "God you're hot this early in morning." He gave me a kiss and it would've gone on forever if it weren't for the sound of the coffee pot. He quickly poured some into a tumbler for me and we were out the door.

The drive to the airport made me feel uneasy. I'd never liked flying and I always thought it was a fear that would go away. But I'm twenty-one and still afraid to fly, so I guess that childhood fear didn't go away.

I didn't know what was so scary about it! You go through airport security and they basically make sure that everyone is safe. I get through that part fine, but it's when I finally get on the plane that an anxiety attack is more common. They tell you to buckle in, but it's legit a buckle! How is that going to help you in the chance of an emergency? Care to tell me? Then they start the engines and then you start moving, but then when you think that you're almost in the air you're not. Instead you're still on the stupid tar-mat. Then when you're finally in the air you experience turbulence. No one in my family deals with motion sickness well. So I always wonder how Jacob deals with it.

After we got on the plane Bryant sat down and smiled like a little four year old. "I'm super happy you get to meet them Ellie. You're going to love them!"

I knew I was but it was all getting to me. What happens if they don't like me? What happens if they don't approve of Bryant dating a younger girl? Seven years can be really big to people. Really, Really big to parents and siblings. He looked at me and held my hand, "I know there's something going on in that brain of yours right now. Tell me." He whispered to me and only me.

"We have a big age difference. What happens if your parents don't like me because I'm twenty-one?!"

"I wouldn't worry about it too much. I love you and they need to accept that, but they will." He kissed my temple and squeezed my hand.

"I love you Bry, I really do."

"I would hope. You're meeting my parents! Also they know we're coming but they don't know we're coming today. So I wanted to surprise them." He smiled a big smile once again.

"I can't wait."

Getting off the plane was a complete blessing. It felt so good to be on ground and Bryant looked so happy too. It's like he was a kid in a candy store, but I love him for that.

He pulled me through the airport and towards the rental car service. Everything was pretty here, I absolutely loved it! I mean I was a little hot because I'm used to Iowa weather all the way, but I could get used to this.

It's like life wouldn't stop moving. I mean he was moving a million miles a minute. I just needed a chance to take a breather or else my symptoms would start showing for a panic attack. But once we got into the car the world stopped. Bryant stopped. He grabbed my hand and held onto it, "You look like you need to stop."

"Yeah. I swear you read my mind." I laughed it off while he handed me water. I chugged it down like my life depended on it. I didn't want to go anywhere anymore, I wanted to be in bed and sleeping.

"You look stressed Elle. What's wrong?" He looked so worried. There was something different in his eyes, all different. "I'm fine. Just ready to meet your parents. Where are we surprising them?"
