Promise of Training

It was combat instruction time and Professor Koopa woke up with a bad back. Team RWBY's dorm room was crowded, small, and the inhabitants were not good company.

Yang had a tendency to snore and Blake was reading her book. Everytime she turned a page, it would somehow defy the laws of physics and it would make a loud noise and keep him up. Ruby was most certainly a morning person, enough said.

The only one who didn't keep him up was Weiss. The Schnee was very considerate of his sleep.

However, the same could be said for the huntresses. The Koopa King's snoring shook the whole room when he fell asleep. Weiss couldn't even fall asleep, fearing Ruby's bed would break of the ropes and crush her.

Glynda was currently monitoring a match with Pyrrha and some shabby dressed punk. He looked like he saw a ghost and didn't even sleep as much either. He immediately forfeited his match and walked away quietly. Following him was that mint haired girl that never leaves his side.

Bowser focused on his match, with Blake against his consultant Boshi. Even without his aura unlocked, he was still a formidable fighter.

Boshi ran circles around the faunus, a blue blur present. His strategy was always the element of surprise. He would run for a few minutes then come in for an incoming attack. If he failed, then he would retreat back into the circle them repeat. It was the same strategy he used against Jaune and Pyrrha.

Thanks to Blake's cat eyes and her Semblance, she had a better chance against the blue raptor. When Boshi appeared ready to attack, Blake used her Semblance to make a shadow copy of herself. Boshi attacked the copy and it disappeared. Boshi tried to run back but Blake swung her weapon, Gambol Shroud, and used the ribbon to latch on to Boshi's feet, incapacitating him. He skidded across the floor, his feet tied up. He got up and was met with sharp amber eyes.

"All right, you win." Boshi said bitterly.

Blake smiled, then untied him.

The blue raptor got up and looked at Blake, as she stuck her hand out.

"That was a good duel, thank you" she said.

Boshi stared at it for a bit, but didn't shake it. Instead he turned around and walked away not speaking a word. It's not because he was a sore loser, well he was, but he just didn't like to be pitied.

"Hey, Koopa? What the heck is his problem?" Yang said.

Bowser looked at the blonde bruiser, sipping his coffee.

"Nothing really, Boshi's just a sore loser. He practically hates losing overall." Bowser said, straightening his glasses.

"But the whole point of training is to learn from your opponents and learn more about yourself, not petty competition." Weiss said.

"Tell that to him." Bowser said.

Bowser was not in the mood to be dealing with this. In fact, he hasn't been in the mood ever since his talk with Ozpin two days ago. He still remembered the conversation he had with him.

Two days ago

It was early in the morning and Ozpin just got his morning Cocoa. Until the doors to his office we're knocked on like a mob of angry citizens. When the doors opened, Bowser stepped in with a sense of urgency and anger.
