This isn't an official chapter, but I'd like to go ahead and bring something up. It's about Bowser's twin auras when he first got his aura unlocked by Ozpin. So far, I haven't really touched up on what that symbolized in the story or what it means to Bowser.
Well, after 3 years since I published this story, I'll go ahead and tell you all.
So, we have Bowser's first half, his bright red aura. That is Bowser's soul, his actual soul. It is the very culmination of his overall being and identity. It is also what gives him his Adaptation semblance, where any given situation will give Bowser a new form to overcome or survive that given situation.
For example, Bowser's clone form. Bowser needed to be in two places at once when he found Cinder at the SDC Tower, so his semblance gave him the ability to split into multiple clones. Another example would be his Metal Form, where he needed the extra durability and strength to go against Roman's mech robot.
This semblance is, to put it bluntly, broken as fuck. A true writer would have given him some form of limitations, and that is exactly what I did for each of his forms. But what you might be referring to, at least in your minds, is how Bowser can keep these forms on hand after using them and then continuing to use them throughout the story.
That's where his dark purple aura, his other half, comes in. This other half of him represents his dark magic abilities, which Bowser does possess. It is extremely potent and powerful, giving Bowser supernatural abilities. This also gives Bowser's body the ability to keep a biological archive of his different forms created with his semblance, and even forms from power-ups.
As everyone knows, power-ups are only active unless you get hurt. However, thanks to Bowser's experiments involving power-ups and dust, he is able to make these power-ups somewhat permanent. Thanks to Bowser's semblance and his dark magic keeping a record of it, the power up is only permanent to damage only. Getting a different power up after the other one will override the effects.
Bowser's Twin Auras are symbiotic to his body, which makes him even more formidable and dangerous than ever before.
The same can be said about Dark Bowser's twin auras, except Dark Bowser doesn't have a soul. Those auras are different and probably don't even count as an aura, but here's how they work as well. One represents his own Dark Magic abilities, which are even stronger than Bowser's by far, and the other is Dark Bowser's pure darkness given form. That pure darkness represents the very culmination of evil, violence, and suffering. In other words, it's a small shard of The Darkness itself.
Very important later on. Much, MUCH later on.
But that's all I wanted to talk about. I'm currently on vacation and I'll have a very busy week after that. But, I'll be sure to get as much of this as done as I can. Grunt out!
