The first thing that came to Bowser was the smell of the place. It didn't have the same smell like pine trees. He didn't know what it was.

He slowly opened up his crimson eyes. He was in a bed. Actually, two beds put together. Bowser was to big to be put in a normal bed.

He sat up and looked himself over. He had bandages around his foot and hand, some small band-aids on his arms, and a couple bruises on his body. They were fading pretty quickly so no complaints.

"Oh, you're awake!"

He looked and saw the same silver-eyed girl from before, smiling. She had some kind of school uniform on. What was her name again? Something related to the color red.

"Uh, yeah." He said. "Where am I?"

"You're in Beacon Academy's Infirmary. You were pretty hurt, so we brought you here to recover!" She said, smile not breaking.

It was weird. Whenever someone smiled at him, they were usually nervous and sweated little. But this girl, hers was genuine. He was not used to that.

"Listen, Rosey-"

"Ruby" she corrected.

"Right, Ruby, don't take this the wrong way, but can you stop smiling at me?" He asked.

Ruby's smile dropped a little, replaced with confusion. She didn't understand why that was a problem.

"Why? Does it bother you?" She asked.

"Actually, yeah." He answered. "I'm not used to strangers smiling at me like that."

Her eyes widened at that. Not used to people smiling at you? That's a thing? Before she could respond, the rest of her team came in wearing the same uniform as she was.

"Oh, the beast awakens!" Yang says sarcastically. It appears the blonde was still unhappy with him.

"How are you feeling?" Blake asks.

"And what was that you just did out there?" Weiss asked.

"Hey, hey, easy with the questions!!" He said, putting his hands up. "Just let me get up, first!"

He tries to get up from the beds, but then winces when he puts his hurt foot on the ground. He growls in annoyance, as he remembered how that happened. He'll have to be careful next time.

"Need a hand?" Ruby asks.

"No! I can get up on my own!" He says quickly.

They back up a little from his little outburst. Yang scowls at him a little. He can't talk to her that way.

Ruby wasn't affected by his tone, but decided to keep her distance. He obviously didn't like receiving help from others.

As he got off the bed, he put little weight on his foot. He wasn't going anywhere like this. So he decided now was the best time to get some answers.

"Okay, how about this?" He began. "We'll play a game of questions. You ask me one, then I'll ask you one. Got it?"

They shook their heads yes. It was fair for the most part. To Blake, it meant confirming her theory.
