The Start of the Festival

Izuku POV

The weeks quickly flew by and now it was the day of the Sports Festival. We were all in a room waiting for them to call us out. But in the mean time class 1-B declared war on us and Canadian flag declared me as his rival.........isn't that lovely?

"AND HERE'S THE MOST KNOWN CLASS....1-A!"

Present mic yelled out as the doors opened, signaling us to walk out. I rubbed my ears since they were ringing. Who gave the megaphone a megaphone?! Anyway I looked around the giant arena and spotted Slender and his three brothers. Splendor and Trender were waving so I gave a small wave back. They were all in their human disguises since it would be trouble if they blamed their looks on a quirk.

"Now would the class representative Izuku Midoriya come up to say I few words."

I choked on air when I heard that. Since when was I the class rep!? Not really caring what I say, I just spoke the first thing that came to mind when I got up there. "Subscribe to Pewdipie and do your best. Plus Ultra!" I quickly walked back to crowd of students as some gave me thumbs up. If I'm going by the confused sounds and proud yells, I say I did good. Midnight announced we would be doing an obstacle course first then next thing I know we were at the starting line as Present Mic told the rules. Of course I zoned out since it seemed he was going to be a minute.

Isn't a kangaroo basically a T-rex deer? Or maybe it's a horse rabbit?

A loud honk sound went through the air and the gates started to open. I jumped on someone's head as I saw the wanna-be Katy Perry freeze the ground, making most of the students stuck in ice. Luckily I was gonna climb over people anyway.

"Excuse me......Sorry.....Not sorry......my bad.....karma!"

I yelled as I jumped from person to person and knocking a few down in the process. I sprouted my wings out as I jumped in the air from the last person. The off-brand pikachu was zapping the robot as I passed by. I also saw Sonic's crackhead cousin on the tightrope area. I couldn't fly through the whole race, just like Lolli couldn't teleport. So as I landed near the last area, I saw that angry pomeranian and peppermint boy fighting each other ahead of me. When I realized this was a mine field, a smirk appeared across my face as I looked around and a very smart yet stupid idea came to mind. I grabbed a scrap piece of metal from the side then backed up a lot. Taking a breath, I got a running start then jumped on the nearest mine with the metal under me.

'Holy shit it actually worked' I thought as I was bouncing like a ball from mine to mine which made it difficult for those behind me. I saw the two still fighting while I was in the air so I got in position to land on a mine in between them. "EXCUSE ME FUCKERS!" I yelled as I quickly zoomed between them, knocking both in different directions. When I thought of this plan, I honestly didn't know I would get this far......which means I didn't think of how I was going to land. Letting go of the piece of metal, I fell back to Earth as my body was met with the cold familiar ground. I started rolling myself like a spin dash to lessen the blow since who knows how far up I was. When I finally stopped, I sat up to find myself back in the arena with the crowd cheering.

"AND FIRST PLACE GOES TO IZUKU MIDORIYA! WHAT ARE YOU TEACHING THESE KIDS?" I heard Present Mic yell. I guess I'll wait for the others then. Of course while I waited my mind drifted off.

What if when we can't sleep it's because the sleep servers are full and spots are only open when other people are awake? But then again....that wouldn't explain Aizawa though since he's always sleep-deprived. It's kinda funny how Jeff, a guy with no eyelids mind you, can get more sleep than Aizawa.

I felt a tap on my shoulder and saw Lolli standing behind me. Assuming everyone's finished, I dusted myself off then look toward the podium. "The first 40 gets to continue and our next one is.....a Calvary battle! The person in 40th place will have 5 points, the next will have 10, then so forth. But 1st place will have 1,000,000,000 points!" Midnight explained as I went still. I could feel multiple stares towards me.......

Well I know I'm in one hell of a battle now.

How's ya quarantine going? Good I hope. But I kinda forgot to ask last chapter that I need a hero name for our green bean.
