What do I say?

The ambulance pulled up quickly the loud ear piercing sirens made everything get so much more real. Paramedics came running out, dally and Darry backed away. "Johnny man Come'n let'em help her."

Darry said laying a hand on my shoulder I let her go and backed up, I didn't want to let her go, she was safe in my arms no where else but my arms. Darry held me turning me around I guess so I didn't have to see? But I wanted to I wanted to see her. I hugged Darry back though, because it still felt good, I wanted to hold her. I wanted her to know she was okay, she was gonna be okay.... she had to be okay, she just has to be.

She has barely even gotten to go to school yet, the last thing I told her was to let go of me... I feel terrible I don't want the last thing I tell her to be let go, I want it to be I love you so much and I don't want it to be for a long time. "Are one of you boys related to her?"

The paramedic asked, I felt Darry nodded his head. "He's her big brother."

I felt him point to me. "Alright, um you wanna ride to the hospital with us?"

I looked over to her. "Yeah.."

I said walking away from Darry. "Johnny we'll get the gang and meet you at the hospital okay."

I looked back to Darry and nodded my head. "Okay dar."

I said walking into the ambulance. We started driving and the paramedic started working on Ava giving her, meds and patching her up. When we got to the hospital the gang pulled up behind us they ran outta the car when they seen me get out, pony ran up pulling me into a side hug. When we got into the hospital the paramedics, started talking to the doctors while a nurse started checking her over. "J-John-ny.."

Ava mumbled out, her voice was all horsed, and she tried to sit up, the nurse and doctor pushed her down. "I-I w-want m-my j-jo-hnny.."

Ava cried. "Ava I'm right here."

I said threw tears pushing threw and holding her hand. She just started crying before I had to let go of her hand. "I love you Ava!"

I yelled after her. Ava half looked up before she was taken, back to a room. "Fuck!"

I said, I had never felt so upset, so angry, so torn in all my life, fuck just seemed right to say in a time like this, It was just fuck! "J-johnny it's gonna be okay man."

Dally said outing a hand on my shoulder. "How do you know! How!"

I said giving a glare. "Right you don't!"

I said before I broke. "Johnnycakes buddy com'er you'll, she'll be okay man."

I looked at dally and wiped my eyed but the tears just kept coming, Dally hugged me and rubbed my back.

They brought me over to sit down in those disgusting waiting room chairs, man this wasn't tough at all, but I didn't care I just kept crying because Ava was my baby, my baby sister my everything she can't die she just, she just can't! I hugged my knees and sat in Dally's arms for hours until a doctor came out, he seemed well... he seemed upset. "We got her stable but she'll be lucky if she makes it threw the night..."

My heart dropped. "no, no, no! There has to be something you can do!"

I said shaking, the doctor shook her head. "The bullet hit a main artery and she lost to much blood, she's awake if you'd like to see her while you still can."

I held back every tear in my body and nodded my head, this was it, it's over she's gone... "she's in room 211."

I gulped back my sobs and started walking, fast I didn't want to miss one more second if I only had hours. The gang followed me and I opened the door quickly there she was my baby sister. "Hey princess."

I said and the tears just started flowing, when she looked up, the pitiful look in her eyes was like a stab to my heart, she was only suffering. I knew it was her time but I didn't want it. "Johnny!"

She giving a weak smile, she weakly held up on arm, I walked over. "Johnny hold.... m-me.....p-p."

I nodded. "It's okay princess Johnny's here."

I said pulling her into my arms, she whimpered and held tightly onto my shirt, everyone was sobbing now we all knew what the meant, this was it, I looked to dally and scouted over. Dally took a deep breath and sat down a few tears pricked his cheeks but he wasn't crying like everyone else. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder Ava let one hand go off my shirt while she held dally's hand. "I love you Johnny, I love you d-da-dawwy...."

She went to say more but two cut her off so she wouldn't waste anymore energy. "We love you too Ava."

He said quietly, Ava smiled and blew him a kiss, two chuckled and pretended to catch it Ava let out a little giggle. Two smiled, I was glad he made her laugh because it made us all smile threw the tears, I just held Ava we stayed there for 30 minutes everyone rubbing her arm showering her with kisses telling her how much we al loved her before she started to fall asleep, I didn't want her to fall asleep because I knew when she did it was over. But I didn't try and wake her up I wanted her to die peacefully she at least deserves that. "I love you Johnny."

She mumbled out before she fell asleep on me sucking her thumb, that would be the last time she ever did, she was gone, gone for good my baby sister was gone.... it hit me like a brick wall but before I let out a choked sob the monitor started beeping loudly and her heart flat lined it was over the doctors rushed in and pulled her away from me and dally we got up dally held me while I sobbed, but I knew nothing would change it, it was over, her tiny life was over, her beautiful smile was over, her sassy personality was over, she was over....

she was gone forever.
