Phoenix's POV

What's this?

Phoenix stares at the box of chocolate handed to her by Ares'. A small grin forms on his face as people around in the cafeteria watch as the Tyrant Prince gives chocolate to some loner.

Even though Phoenix is part of the reigning teams in the school, her antisocial attitude caused people to start talking about her badly.

"Happy Valentine's Day."

Ares articulates, making sure every vowel and word is pronounced with a loud and clear voice. Girls from behind him tap his back and give them their chocolate's, earning an indifferent face from him.

"Can't you see I'm doing something?"

With an angry tone in his voice, Ares shouts.

"Sorry..."

The girls apologize, glaring daggers at Phoenix shortly after.

"God, they don't know when to leave me alone."

Do I take it?

Phoenix turns to look at her team mates, Callista, Oasis and Amethyst smiling at her.

She took it anyways in order to avoid causing a nuisance.

"You can leave now."

Phoenix states harshly, not wanting to be bothered.

"Where's my thank you?"

Ares asks in a satisfied and playful tone. She grows quiet for a moment before hesitating to reply.

"Thanks."

Phoenix stutters slightly but still unnoticeable.

Ares blushes for a split second before turning around and walking away.

Wonder what that was about.

Callista's POV

Everyone is out there having a Valentine's except for her and Amethyst. But compared to Amethyst, Amethyst is happy. Callista only reminiscences about the past she had with Xander.

I really got rejected. I'm so embarrassed. I really had to meet him here.

It felt suffocating for Callista to think about him. Either way, she couldn't help but do so.
Why did he reject him? It really seemed like he shared the same feelings, but it didn't end up that way.

"I'm going for a walk."

Callista mentions before standing up and heading towards the door.

"Should I come with you?"

Amethyst asks, also beginning to stand up.

"No, I'm okay. I'll be quick."

Callista smiles before opening the door and leaving. She didn't feel like staying inside, she couldn't breathe and she needed to take a breather.

She goes to the training area and grabs her bow. At times like these, training is the only thing that can occupy her mind.

"Callista?"

She misses the shot.

It hasn't even been her second shot and she already missed.

"You're practicing?"

She knows who is behind her and didn't bother to turn around to face him.

"Yeah, it seems like you will be training too, so I'll leave you alone."
