Battle 1: Teams
Jasper's POV
"5 minutes has started. Whoever has the biggest advantage in the fight wins. FIGHT!"
Aurelius and Jasper lead the team with Jasper following behind the leader. Ares and Xander keep their distance as the supports. They all channel their focus solely into the battle, muffling all the screams coming from the crowd. Aurelius fixes his black glasses and removes his black and yellow winter coats as it is heavy, leaving a loose white linen shirt on. His blue, sleek eyes, focus solely on the enemy.
They're so distracting.
Suddenly, a bolt of lightning comes from the clear skies, entering Aurelius's double edged spear. Aurelius makes the first move, lancing the weapon like a javelin. The weapon barely strikes the enemy, almost missing. His attack only caused a wave of lightning along with a small cut. Aurelius goes all in, trying to retrieve his weapon, stuck into the sandy ground of the gladiator.
Jasper holds pudao sword surrounded by blue fire. With his right hand as his support on the sword, he uses his left hand to aim the tip. With excellent technique, he charges at the enemy. Vigorously, they fight, clanking their metal swords, creating a high-pitched sound each time. Even with his skill, Jasper still struggles to have an advantage over his enemy who uses orange fire as his ability. Sweat drips down Jasper's fairly tan skin.
Ares and Xander quickly notices what's happening and backs them up by firing their ranged weapons. Xander vigorously shoots arrows with precise accuracy. However, the enemy is quick to notice and blocks each of the speeding arrows coming his way with his long sword. Xander pulls another trick from his sleeve, his ability, polarity.
With a command, he summons dangerously fast metal pieces from his palm and aims it directly at the enemy, giving him a slight advantage. Xander still keeps his kind expression on his face, even towards the enemy. Jasper notices and is a bit impressed.
Okay, that's better than not having an advantage at all.
A large boom escapes Ares' grenade launcher as he fired his heavy weapon. The vibrations from the weapon causes Ares' silver chain on his maroon pants to shake vigorously. The enemies notice the loud sound and a huge grenade dropping onto the sandy floor. They all keep their distance from it. Little do they know that Ares has a little trick up his sleeve.
Suddenly, multiple mini grenades spew out from the huge grenade and explode immediately, bruising all the enemies around. Still, he notices his team still at a disadvantage.
"Man, what would you guys do without me." Cockily, he shouts with a smirk on his face. With his hands, he creates a mini nuclear bomb from the sands of the floor. After a few moments, it explodes to release a toxic gas in the air, somehow only hurting the enemy.
The team of four struggle to breathe except for one standing solely. Suddenly the man's gun collects the toxicity in the air, transporting it into his gun.
"Oh. I didn't tell you that my speciality is with chemicals." The enemy smirks as he expels the chemicals from the air. Thought it may have brought his team down, karma would hit Ares.
Suddenly, the only person that is standing in his team fires a chemical bomb right at Ares' and his team. Just like how the enemy's team dropped like flies, the same happens to Ares' team.
"Oh okay, I see how you're going to play. You guys better get up once I do this." With a serious tone, Ares' states as he dissolves the chemicals in the air into his body. Soon afterwards, Ares faints, sand staining his white shirt.
The sole person standing is the enemy. Aurelius' team acknowledges defeat as they all struggles to stand, weak from the chemicals.
"Remind me... to never piss Ares' off. This hurts like hell oh my god." Aurelius manages to breathe out as he is wasted on the floor.
The crowd becomes silent as the round soon comes to an end. Jasper unconsciously turns to the crowd; specifically Phoenix.
"This is... embarrassing..." Abruptly, he grabs his pudao spear nearby and uses it as support stand up. He brushes his dark blue hair out of his face to reveal his pained face.
"Sorry... I've failed as a leader. This is the least I can do. Take some of my lightning." Aurelius shakily lifts up his hand and transports lightning energy to Jasper's sword.
Only Jasper and the sole enemy remain.
"Just because your friend dispersed my chemicals doesn't mean I can't summon more." The man says with a little smile on his face.
In reaction, Jasper quickly takes a deep breath and holds it. Before it could enter his lungs, toxic gas once again fill the air.
Without warning, Jasper pierced his sword into the ground, looking at the enemy competitively.
"INFERNO!" Suddenly, Jasper's hair and eyes turn into a deep red and orange colour, resembling an inferno. With his last breath, he calls a burst of flames and lightning mixed together onto the floor, making the enemy feel both a burst of shock and heat. The enemy takes the damage first, falling to the floor—his body spazzing on the ground.
Jasper looks at the crowd and smiles, his hair and eyes turning back to dark blue. Soon after, he falls from exhaustion.
"ROUND END! TEAM AJAX WINS."
