Bent relationships

A day later, afternoon

Phoenix's POV

Phoenix stares at her schedule. Her first battles are with her team. If their team is able to defeat the other team, then the duos would commence. Since there is no guarantee of who would win, the duo's and singles battles are undecided. Today, 25 teams would be going out of 50, each lasting 5 minutes. Everyone would be watching all the teams which would last approximately 2 hours.

Who's the first team that will fight?" Oasis asks as she ties up her soft brown hair into buns.

"Team AJAX" Phoenix explains as she continues to stare at the schedule. "Who? I've never heard of Team AJAX before." Callista explains as she sharpens her arrows.

"Aurelius, Jasper, Ares and Xander vs some people we don't really know." Amethyst says as she looks at the schedule.

Callista hears the name Xander. "Oh, well I'm looking forward in participating... I guess."

All of a sudden, the door opens only to reveal Serena.

"What's up donut hair, one eyed creep, freckled face, and Robin Hood?" Serena laughs as she mocks them.

"Playtime is over. The tournament is about to begin. Get your asses at the gladiator." She continues to laugh, as she scanned the room, she gives Oasis a smirk.

"I am really excited to see you fight." Serena snickers, turns around and leaves.

"I guess it's time to go." Amethyst explains as they all got up.

"Aren't you nervous, Phoenix?" Oasis asks as they prepare their weapons and gadgets.

"No, not really." She replies calmly as they walk out the door.

"You know, it's kind of unsettling that you're always so laid back." Callista kids, whilst giving a smile.

Screams filled the arena as people cheered during battles. Oasis, Phoenix, Callista, and Amethyst enters the arena side and tries to find their seats.

It was loud, screams filled the arena as people were eager to find out who the new school president was.

The noise is so loud. It's unbearable.

Callista spots their seats and quickly ran towards them. As they sat down, they began to watch the match. It was team AJAX against another group.

"Woah! Look at them." Callista was in awe as she stares at the battle, but her eyes seems to follow a certain boy in the match.

"Looks like someone is interested in a certain boy." Amethyst snickers and hits Callista's arm with her elbow.

"H-hey! I was just looking at him because he can fight nicely." She exclaims as she brushes her blonde hair.

"Yeah, sure." Sarcastically, Amethyst replies with a playful tone in her voice.

While the two are hitting it off, Oasis and Phoenix play the silent game, ignoring each other. They sit farthest from each other with Amethyst and Callista blocking the two in the middle.

"You're still not over this Oasis? I was simply warning you." Phoenix says, mocking Oasis slightly.

"But it was quite rude for you to say something like that." Callista protests.

"But if she never learns, she'll only be a weak link in the team. We can't have another problem and lose." Phoenix replies with a slight bit of anger in her tone.

"It's not bad to lose though, it makes us stronger!" Oasis shouts, defending herself passionately.

"If that's how you think, why don't you leave school? Since you've lost it all, maybe you'll become stronger."

"Seriously? You haven't talked this much before. The first time you talk this much is when you're being rude."

"But she's  right. You haven't done much for this team besides snitch on the former president." Amethyst adds on, defending Phoenix like a follower.

"You're joking, right?" Callista says in disgust, looking at both Phoenix and Amethyst.

The tension between the four girls began to rise. Before it could worsen, an announcement plays on the intercom.

"The battle between Team AJAX vs USNO will start in 3,2,1."
