Kill me now... I had NO clue that they changed the completion date to October 31, so I have 4 more chapters to write because I thought we didn't have to complete our stories until November 30. Shoot me. Anyways, this was SUPPOSED to be my Halloween special, but I guess now works. Besides, it isn't very festive anyways. Happy reading! I COULD REALLY USE YOUR SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT!

"Nadia, I love you," Westley said as we twirled around the room. My feet kept tripping over themselves as I struggled to keep up with the fast paced dance. It was a strange sensation, dancing without music, but at least we were alone. Where was everybody? Westley's statement echoed throughout the empty room, ricocheting off the walls and bouncing back into my ears with the force of a thousand voices. I felt the need to run, and willed my body to do so, but it was as if an adhesive held us together.
"I love you too," I heard myself say, my words having the same deafening effect as his. In my mind, I flinched, but my body kept dancing as if everything was right in the world. It was as if I couldn't control my body, as if someone else was instructing my muscles as to what they could or could not do. We stopped dancing, and just stood there in the middle of the empty ballroom.
My head tilted to one side and I watched, horror struck, as Westley's head drew nearer to mine almost in slow motion, lips pursed. Our lips met and it felt as if my skin erupted into flames. My vision spotted red from the pain, and still there were those lips, pressed against mine.
I felt my ears shift on the sides of my scalp, turning to a Fae-ish angle, and elongating to a tip. What felt like twin knives pushed from beneath my back's layers of skin. I felt my wings rip from my inner being, to show their full grotesque glory on my body. I tried to scream, but all my body could do was laugh monotonously.
Westley joined my maniacal giggling, his face changing as he stepped away from me. His hair straightened itself, growing longer and darker as it went. His eyes grew menacingly green and his skin paled. I recognized that face.
I suddenly regained control of my body, only to stumble backwards and fall on my fragile, new limbs, crushing them with my own weight. I screamed out in anguish and the next thing I knew, the floor evaporated beneath me and I began free falling through the void. That face chased me, laughing the whole time... Easton's face.
I jolted awake, my breathing heavy and my body covered in a cold sweat. Sobs wracked my body as I sat up, huddling my legs to my chest and letting my head reast on my knees. That nightmare had been plaguing me all week, ever since I got back. It terrified me and because of it, I'd been avoiding Westley, giving silly excuses to him here and there about dress fittings and whatnot. I'd been able to avoid him for the whole week.
Now it was the morning of Westley's birthday ball, and I dreaded it, fearing my nightmare would somehow become a reality. In hindsight, the best course of action for me probably would have been to tell Westley, but I didn't.
The dream scared me so much that I hadn't even turned off the lights the night prior, so at least I had a merry glow to comfort me. I was afraid to go back to sleep, not wanting to visit that nightmare again so soon, but it was far too early to be up. Wish they had TVs here... Even a good book would suffice. Hmm... Good book? Guess I could go to the library...
The corridors were well lit despite the time of night, and completely empty. The smooth wood floor was cool against my feet and I wished I had socks. I barely paid any attention as I made my way through the corridors, still half asleep. Just as I turned a corridor, I was toppled over by a flurry of color.
