Jack's POV

"Jack, could you come here for a second?" I heard my parents call me, so I rushed to the throne room

They smiled at each other and then faced me "Jack, this may be sudden, but..." Mom paused for a while, then continued "You're getting married"'

I choked

"W-what?! With who?!" I didn't want this, it was tradition that if a member of the family didn't have a partner yet at the age of 18, they would be having an arranged marriage.

Well, I'm already 19 years old, and apparently, they don't take any considerations.

"Well, we met the King and Queen of Emerald Kingdom, and they have a beautiful daughter, and we both agreed to marry the both of you"

W-wait- is she talking about Queen?!

"Y-you mean, princess Queen?" I asked, they nodded. "B-but, I don't love her! She's only a friend to me!"

"You had your chance, but you still didn't find someone in the past 18 years" my father said

"Please! Give me one more chance!" I begged

My parents sighed and quietly talked to each other, then turned back to me.

"Fine. You have 1 week to find your love, but if you don't find her, you'll be forced to marry princess Queen, understood?"

I sighed in relief, then gestured "yes" and made my way outside, I've gotta find Akai.

While I was running, I bumped into someone, it was Queen.

"Hey, they told you, right?" She asked me, I nodded. Suddenly, tears ran from her eyes. "Jack, you've got to help me, I don't want us to get married, I love someone else, but my parents won't listen to me"

I listened to her story, then I asked "who are you in love with?"

"Princess Rose from Uraomote kingdom"

I choked for the second time this night

"You're lesbian?!" I exclaimed, she made me shut up

"Don't tell anyone, ok?" I nodded "so, will you help me or not?"

"Sure, how?"

"Let me borrow your car, I'm going to visit Uraomote"

I gave her my keys and proceeded to head to the marketplace.

When I got there, Akai was no where to be found. I rushed to Blue, he told me Akai went home a while ago. I asked where it was, he gave me his location.

(Later)

I fell in my knees and panted. I've been walking through the whole town for 5 hours straight.

Akai... where are you?

I decided to head back to the castle. I had my head down, tears ran through my eyes.

When will I see you again?

I was walking when I bumped into someone, it was Viridian, the town's artist.

"Prince Jack? What are you doing here late at night?" He asked me, I let out a sigh and raised my head to see him.

"I'm looking for Akai, have you seen him? I've searched the whole town, but there's no sign of him"

He thought for a moment, then was struck with a sudden realization. "Haven't you heard? He's gone to Rerulili kingdom to find a job"

"When do you think he'll return?"

"I;; guess he won't be coming back"
