Chapter Thirteen

Greyson

After so many years, he's finally found her. He's finally found his best friend. He should be happy in the discovery but it only left him with more questions than he had answers and Red wouldn't be offering any at the moment. He finally accepted what his heart wouldn't allow him this past month. Red and Zamaria were one and the same. Just a few weeks ago she popped up in his suggested friend's list on Facebook. He wanted to be sure it wasn't someone just using her picture to catfish anyone.

Her profile wasn't private so he was able to explore freely without her noticing. She had pictures of her whole family. She had just posted a recent photo of her, her sister, and her mother. It was shocking how much they all looked so similar. If you didn't know them you'd think they were all sisters. The years did Mrs. Smith well.

Greyson wanted to run down to the club and hug her tight with excitement that they had found each other again, but one question nagged at him.

Did she know who he was?

He didn't want to make a fool of himself if she had forgotten about him. On the nights he didn't have to be at Wolfe Pack he found himself sitting in the far corner of Back Shots hoping to get a glimpse of her.

It had been a week after he found her social media, that she finally showed back up. He felt excited to see her, yet scared to approach. So he just stuck to the background watching her move like a goddess.

The more he watched the more questions came to mind. The biggest was how did she end up stripping in the first place? When she said she wanted to be a dancer as a kid, this was the farthest thing from both of their minds.

Greyson wondered what kind of life she lived when he left. He tried his hardest to visit, but his parents refused to make the drive and his grandmother couldn't drive. She still had that same fire in her as a kid.

When he showed up today, he had every intention on talking to her out on the dance floor while she gave him a lap dance. Keeping her in her element and being safe in case he had it all wrong and she tried to go postal on him. However, when he watched her, something was different.

She seemed to have been thrown off her game in the worse way. It had to do with the group around the back stage. He wasn't sure which one was the source but he was sure someone in that crowd scared her.

Seeing her break down like that in the private room squeezed at his heart. Red was always the strong one, even when she fell out of the tree and sprained her wrist, she took it like a champ. Greyson felt bad for a few days about daring her to climb it in the first place.

Shaking the thoughts from his mind Greyson started up his car. He had been sitting there for twenty minutes debating if he should go back in and get her out of there. He couldn't bring himself to face her again, besides this was her job, she needed to be there. He put the car in drive but stopped himself from pulling off as he watched Dirty Diggy and his crew walk out the doors.

He quickly pulled his phone out calling Brandon. Heart pounding in his chest as his body began to vibrate with hidden rage that's been buried deep for months.

"Sup boss man." Brandon greeted as he let out a puff of smoke into the phone.

"It must be our lucky day. I got eyes on Diggy and his boys. They're leaving Back Shots now." Greyson said as he continued to watch as the rowdy group walked down the dark street pushing one another.
