Update: 09/05/20Chapter Twenty-Two
Greyson
"Let's get this one?" Red pointed to a picture of crown tattoos. "Underneath we can get either our birthdays or the day we met."
Greyson studied the design of the tattoos and felt it was a good idea.
"I like that. I'll see if Moses can put her spin on it for us." They walked over to the empty chair as Moses just finished cleaning up her equipment.
"Sup, Mo. We want to get these crowns with your spin on it." Greyson held the book open and pointed to the picture. "Underneath can you put May 21st. I'm giving you free reign over this whole thing, so don't even bother asking questions."
Moses laughed and nodded her head. "I got you boss man. Give me like ten minutes to get them both drawn up. Where do you want them?"
Greyson looked to Red as she stared down at his arms. "Maybe here." She patted an empty spot on his shoulder and he nodded his agreement.
"On it!" Moses wiped down her last instrument before taking the book to begin mapping out their crowns.
"Yo, Kane, how you holding up man?" Greyson laughed as he watched Kayne make many different faces to express his pain.
"Nigga how the hell can you stand this shit?" Kayne gripped the arm of the chair tightly to keep himself from jumping so much.
"I told you, you should've gotten high before coming here. The first one is always a pain in the ass. Hang in there, Ro almost done." He clapped the kid on the back as continued to make his rounds.
Every few months Greyson would host a tattoo party at the club house for the guys in the gang. It was mostly so those that have proven themselves loyal and moved up in ranks could officially get branded. The gang tattoo was a small warrior symbol that represented strength and loyalty. Each member that ascends to that level of trust gets branded with the symbol of strength. It's up to them to choose another characteristic they feel they display the most.
Kayne chose the symbol of pride.
"So what's all this?" Red asked as she too observed the many men getting similar tattoos.
"It's their official initiation into the gang." Greyson turned his back and did his best to point out his own tattoo. "Each person that reaches a certain level gets this tattoo."
He felt her small fingers trace the intricate design before moving to another.
"I never paid attention to how many tattoos you have."
Greyson turned around with a wicked smile on his face. "That's because you were too preoccupied with other things to notice."
Red pushed his shoulder rolling her eyes.
"Yo boss man, they got some candy set up in the back if you want any." One of the guys said as he passed by Greyson and took an empty seat.
"Naw, I'm good." He declined taking Red's hand and walking over to the bar.
"Let me guess, candy is code for," she touched her nose to emphasize the unspoken word. Greyson simply nodded his head in response.
"Don't worry I never partake in the way they do." He quickly said when he noticed the slight grimace she wore on her face. He already knew what questions she had. "I only sample when we get a new shipment to make sure it's what we're supposed to get. Or when my bartenders are making new drinks. Other than that I don't do anything else, but smoke weed and drink."
