[personal log- K.DY v1.1]

"Hello?"
"It's Renjun. Jaemin went offline and I can't locate him anywhere."
"Jaehyun is back at the house. I can't do much about him but, Taeyong and I can go look?"
"His last known location was out by the woods. Please be careful."
"It's just the woods, Renjun. We'll be fine."

Taeyong drove us out to where Jaemin was last online and we got out to search.
"He couldn't have made it far. His battery was pretty low." Taeyong said, scanning the outer edges of the forest.
"We should stick together. It's kinda cold out and my joints get stiff. I can't get stuck out here all alone." I hate the cold. My joints lock up and it's hard to move but I can't tell Mr and Mrs.Lee that. Not after what they did to Jaehyun.
"I wasn't planning on leaving you, Doyoung." Taeyong said, hooking his arm with mine.

We walked deeper into the woods and snow began to fall.
"Oh! I love the snow. It's so pretty!" Taeyong let go and held his hand out, catching a few snowflakes in his palm. "They're all different, just like us." Taeyong walked around with his face up, getting fresh snow all over it and shook it away. He grinned and kicked some snow at me.
"Hey! We can't fool around. Jaemin is missing." I dusted off my leg and frowned at him.
"Okay but this is the first time I've been out in the snow! I'm excited!" He kicked more at me and a glint of something metal caught my eye. I picked it up and glared at it. "What is it?" A distorted pinging noise came from it and I sighed.
"It's a tracking chip. Jaemin must've taken it out."
"Why would he do something like that?"
"Who knows. We should just find him before he gets lost."
"That'd probably be bad for Mr and Mrs.Lee. Dead kid that isn't actually a dead kid gets found in the woods." He gave an airy laugh and cleared his throat. "I shouldn't say that. Jaemin is probably fine."

"Oh fuck!" Jaemins voice rang out from deeper in the woods. Taeyong and I didn't hesitate to get closer to see what was happening.
"Jaemin?! Are you okay?"
"T-Taeyong? Help-Shit!" There was a clunk noise and a snap. "Back off!" We we're getting closer but we still couldn't see him.
"Hang on we're almost there!" I called out to him. I dragged Taeyong to the left when I saw Jaemin sprinting that way. "What's chasing you?!" I asked.
"Why are you chasing me?!" He said, clearing a bush. There was another set of footsteps blazing after him.
"Us? We're trying to help you!" Taeyong said, confused as he picked up the pace.
"No-Jaehyun!" I almost stopped running. Taeyong ran even faster and I tried to keep up with him. Eventually there was a clearing next to a large lake. None of us were made to swim. We either sink or short out if the water gets too deep. Jaemin had climbed into a tree and was glaring down at Jaehyun. "They programmed you to run that fast but you can't climb a fucking tree?" Jaemin stuck his tongue out at him. Jaehyun jumped up and grabbed the branch he was on, snapping it from the trunk. "Oh fuck." Jaemin hit the ground and rolled away. He got up and ran over to us.
"What's wrong with him?" Taeyong asked.
"Give me it." Jaehyun said. There was no inflection in his voice.
"It?" I asked. Jaehyun pointed at Jaemin.
"I'm not an it!" Jaemin scoffed, crossing his arms.
"Why are you being a prick? They program kindness out of you too?" Taeyong huffed, throwing a snowball at him.
"Don't make me hurt you." Jaehyun stepped forward and we took a collective step back. His mouth hung open and a familiar daunting voice came from him.
"Listen, give me the young looking one and I'll let you two go. If you don't I'll have this one rip out your cores. It's your choice just, make it quick okay?" Mrs.Lee said.
"What's wrong with you Mrs.Lee?!" Taeyong said, stepping forward.
"Watch that tongue, bot. I'll turn you into scrap metal if I need to." Jaehyun stepped forward, fists ready. Taeyong stepped forward again. This didn't look good. I ripped my tracker from my ear and handed it to Jaemin.
"Take this and run. Get rid of it once you know where you are. Take Renjun and make sure those people stay away from you two."
"What no? You can't just-"
"Just go, Jaemin. Don't worry about us, okay?" I wrapped his hand around it and smiled at him. He wrapped his arms around me and squeezed me tight. A hug? What a nice feeling. "Now go." He nodded and ran off, placing the tracker close enough to register a map.
"Ugh! Did you help it get away? Why, you're not real?! What is the point? You don't get any moral satisfaction? Does it make you feel good?" Mrs.Lee's irritated ranting continued as I turned back to J-her. That thing wasn't Jaehyun. It hadn't been for a long time.
"Because what you're doing is wrong!" I said, looking at the puppet. Taeyong smiled at me and crossed his arms. "You're acting crazy and you're hurting people."
"Ha! People? Are you too far gone? Do you not realize what you are anymore? You're an Android. You were programmed to fit in-not have morals." The puppet swiped at Taeyong but he dodged it in time. "You're causing far too much trouble for my taste. I think it's time I have this one take you two out." The puppet closed its mouth and stood upright assuming a fighting stance.
"He can't get us both!"
"We don't know how strong he is, Yong. This is too dangerous." There were many ways we could fight this thing but all of the outcomes were beyond horrible.
"We can't just run!" Taeyong said, dodging another strike. It was faster and far more forceful than the first when Mrs.Lee was in control.
"I'll kill you both!" The puppet said, charging at me. I couldn't think fast enough to do anything and he pinned me to a tree, snow cascading from its branches down onto us. I tried to push him away-I pushed with everything I had but he was too strong.
"The hell are you made out of?!" I couldn't think! There was nothing I could do. Taeyong tried to pull him off me but there was nothing he could do. The puppet wouldn't budge. He resorted to throwing compact snowballs with rocks in them at it with an expression on his face that was too painful to look at. "What are you waiting for? Just do it already." I had to give up. I'd tried everything I could think of.
"I wanted to watch you give up." Her voice again. It made me sick. I felt myself jolt as a force stronger than probably a car crash dug its way into my chest. My b-body seized as it squeezed and twisted my core o-out of place.
"Stop it!" Taeyong w-w-was yelling something to that e-effect but I-I couldn't quite make it out. Everything was slow and warped as I saw Taeyong fall to his knees, hopeless.

E-end of log.

[personal log- L.TY v1.2.1a]

Electricity crackled as Doyoung slumped over onto Jaehyun. I wanted to scream or cry or just-something. Anything other than stare. Jaehyun pulled his arm out of Doyoungs chest and tossed his core to the ground. I crawled over to it and grabbed it. I don't know why- I knew I couldn't save him but I wanted to put him back together. No matter which way I put it, he wouldn't wake up. I really tried but nothing was working. I gasped as Jaehyun dragged me back into the center of the clearing.

Was this what fear was?

I stared into his dark eyes and he looked past me, as if I weren't there. He was our friend, how could he do this to us?
"I don't know if you're still in there," I started, a new feeling worming it's way out of me, "but I hope you die a painful, lonely death." Jaehyun stepped forward and pushed me back until I was flat on my back and stepped on my chest. I reached up and hooked my arms around the back of his knee, making him stumble. He lost his footing and fell over. I wanted to run with the little window of time I had but I knew he'd catch up with me, he's reinforced, there was no chance of me escaping that way. I looked at the lake and took a deep breath. I ran over there and stood with my arms at my side, my system was overstimulated with everything that had happened so I could only do so much at a time. Jaehyun stood up and charged at me a little faster than I anticipated so I tripped him. He was faster and grabbed my arm as he fell in, dragging me down with him. I panicked as I felt the icy muddy water sneak it's way in. Jaehyun glared down at me as he held me under by my throat. My system began to slow as more and more water clogged up my lungs and froze my joints. I w-wanted to scream but I kept my mouth closed as I struggled. I kicked and scratched and f-fought with whatever I had left but he was too strong. I scowled up at him through the murky water and he lifted me out, mouth ajar.
"Any last words?" Mrs.Lee asked, amusement in her voice.
"Yeah...fuck you." I spit some of the water from my lungs at Jaehyun and he scowled, shoving me back under. I couldn't think anymore. All I could...do was flail as my system...slowed down. Jaehyun's grip...tightened around my throat and crushed it in his hands. Mmmy system slowed down drrrastically after that and my thoughts melded together. Hopefully...my friends won't miss me too much. Hopefully...Jaeeemin got away. Hopefully...I get to see Doyoung again.

End...of llllog.
