Is it a love triangle if 2/3 of it aren't even human?

[[my bad yall]]
[there will be a bit (maybe a little more than a bit) of cursing]
[I'm really good at destroying personalities so almost no one will act how they do in real life]
Renjun had stayed after school to help Chenle with an art project. He had Renjun paint the background while he glued some fake flower petals together. "I don't even know why I joined art. I'm not even-hey! You're really good at this!" Chenle had been grumbling to himself when he saw how good Renjun was doing. "How'd you do that? What are those?" He pointed to some small geometric shapes scattered throughout the canvas.
"I don't know. I wasn't really thinking."
"No, it's perfect." Chenle held his hand up and Renjun tilted his head. "High five?" Renjun nodded in understanding, put the most effort into a high five anyone ever has, and gave a little cheer.
Renjun looked around the art room as he waited for the canvas to dry. The room had large windows that over looked a small hill that was connected to a forest.
"Chenle! I found this weird looking pine cone! Do you think you'll need it?" Jisung tossed it at Chenle but he wasn't paying attention so it bounced off his head. "Oh shit. I'm sorry! Are you okay? I-I didn't mean to."
"I'm okay Jisung. Don't worry about it. Renjun do you mind getting it?" Chenle was still focused on his flowers. Renjun picked up the pine cone and examined it. It was shaped awkwardly and had what looked like moss on it.
"The fuck is this?" Renjun mumbled.
"I've never heard you curse before. It's weird."
"Oh! I'm sorry. If you don't like it I'll stop." Renjun set the pine cone down on the table.
"It's all good. I don't care." Chenle worked on his next flower. Jisung had sat down on the table across from them and looked at Renjun. "Why are you staying late this time?" Chenle asked.
Jisung gave a heavy sigh. "I socked some fag- some kid in the face."
"Jisuuung! What did I say about that word? And don't hit people. That's bad too." Chenle crossed his arms.
"I'm sorry. It slipped okay." Jisung rolled his eyes and crossed his arms in response.
"Well it's not okay to keep calling people that. We've talked about this. You can't even justify it."
"Shut up Chenle! Don't attack me over shit like that."
"Well maybe you should watch your mouth!" Chenle had forgotten about his flowers and was standing face to face with Jisung.
"Look, I'm sorry okay? It won't happen again. I promise." Jisung held out his pinky. Chenle looked him in the eye and looped his pinky with Jisungs. "Why do you get so sensitive about that stuff anyway?"
Chenle mumbled something and let go.
"Hm?" Jisung tilted his head. Renjun stayed silent as he watched the two interact.
"I-I like boys."
"Haha. Okay Chenle. Hey I forgot to tell you but I'm also the fucking president." Jisung scoffed and crossed his arms.
"I'm serious. I like guys. You say all these shitty things and I let it slide because you're my best friend!"
"I-I have to go." Jisung shook his head and left the room.
"Jisung wait!" Chenle grabbed his arm.
"Get the fuck off me!" He yanked his arm away and ran out of the room. Chenle frowned and chucked the pine cone across the room. It splintered into a few pieces. Renjun walked over and picked it up.
"I'm so stupid!" Chenle slumped onto the floor near the wall and put his hands over his eyes. Renjun sat down next to him and put his hand on his shoulder. "He's never gonna talk to me again."
"How long have you known each other?"
"Five years. He was then first person to talk to me when I moved here even though I didn't understand a word of Korean. He would stand up for me when kids would tease me for not understanding certain things. I don't know what happened to him. He used to be so sweet and caring and then he just started being so fucking angry all the time." Chenle played with the strings of his hoodie as Renjun listened.
"You've been close for five years. This one little thing couldn't have changed his whole perspective of you. Are you sure you don't know what happened to him?" Renjun racked the internet for a possible reason for a sudden change in personality.
"Positive." Chenle sighed and got up. "I really need to finish my project but I'd like to be alone right now. Thank you for helping out."
"No problem. I'll see you tomorrow." Renjun waved and left after grabbing his bag. He left the pine cone on Chenles bag.

Jisung was pacing back and forth near the entrance of the school trying to process everything that had happened. Renjun had been sitting on the steps watching him mumble nonsense to himself for about two minutes when he decided to step in. "Excuse me, Jisung?" The boy turned stepped walking at the sound of Renjuns voice.
"The fuck do you want?"
"Why did you run?"
"Stop interrogating me."
"I'm not trying to make you upset, I just want to understand." Renjun slowly approached.
"There's nothing to understand." It started to sprinkle out. Rain seemed to bring out negative emotions.
"Why did you run? You've been friends for ages! Why does it matter if he likes guys?"
"It doesn't!"
"Then why did you leave?"
"I'm jealous okay!" Jisung pinched the bridge of his nose as he spoke. "I'm jealous! Why can they be so open about it? I got the shit beaten out of me for taking dance! I can't even imagine what my parents would do if I told them."
"Are you-"
"Yes! Fuck yes. Don't tell anyone. Oh I'll fucking kill you if you say anything!" He pointed an accusing finger at Renjun.
"Jisung calm down. I won't say anything I promise. Just elaborate." Renjun put his hands up as if he was herding a small angry dog.
"I don't trust you. I'll apologize to Chenle if you swear to never bring this up. Deal?"
"Deal." Renjun wasn't satisfied but he felt like Jisung wouldn't talk anymore if he asked. He wasn't sure if he was successful but he knows he tried.
