It's been a month since Jacqueline faced the most horrific experience of her life. Everything had become well again. Kim was completely healed of the burns she sustained during the trip though she was still trying real hard to get rid of the scars it left behind.

Jacqueline also hadn't been to work since she returned because someone had to take care of Kim and make sure she was okay during her healing process.

Tatyana and her co-workers from the strip club came around to check on them every other day since they arrived.

The girls told her that when Tatyana found out about the train accident, she lost it! They said she barely focused on her business and called the police every single day to find out if there were any new information regarding the ongoing investigation.

Of course Jacqueline never doubted the veracity of their statements. She knew Tatyana was more than worried about their whereabouts to the extent that she couldn't stop crying the day she saw them. "Who knew she had tear ducts?" Kim had asked Jacqueline when Tatyana left the hospital.

Jacqueline's mom and brother also paid her a visit a day after she returned. They didn't stay long but they made her promise she'd come spend sometime with them when Kim was strong enough to take care of herself. She promised she would without hesitating. After all, they were the only ones she truly longed for, during those nights of terror.

Marley also visited them often. Whenever he came around, he would always bring flowers and lots of goodies for the girls.

Though Jacqueline never heard from Chris again, Marley did mention that he was doing great but had so much work taking his time. He explained that this was also the case for him but that, with Kim being his top priority, he definitely had to create some time for her out of his busy schedule.

Now, Jacqueline was preparing to go visit her family. She already planned that she'd stay with them for 3 weeks after which she'd come back and resume work alongside her bestfriend.

"I wish you didn't have to go." Kim said feeling sad.

"Aw... You know the time will pass by quickly. Before you know it, I'll be back." Jacqueline smiled as she threw her hands around Kim.

"Well okay. I'm really going to miss you. I can't wait for you to come back."

"Aw, I haven't even left yet. Besides, now you'll have Marley all to yourself." She giggled.

"You know it's not the same as having your sister around." Kim sighed.

"True, true." She nodded and turned when her phone started ringing. "My Uber's here. Gotta go Sweety. Take care of yourself and remain a good girl till I return okay?" Jacqueline laughed and embraced her friend again.

"I sure will. I'll see you to the car." Kim smiled.

An hour later, Jacqueline arrived at her mom's house and was greeted at the door with a big hug from her brother.

"Oh darling brother, I'm so happy to see you again. I thought you'd be in school by now." She said to Nolan.

"I got done with classes like an hour ago. Let me assist you with your bags." He volunteered.

"Aw, thank you. Where's Mom?"

"She went to the Farmers' market. She thought you'd come in a little later so she wanted to prepare something special for you to eat when you arrive but here you are." He chuckled.

"Well since I'm already here, I guess I have no choice but to help her prepare that special food." She smiled as she sank in the couch while her brother took her luggage inside.
