"I told you seeing that girl again was a bad idea. You mean to tell me that girl put you through all that embarrassment just to show off? Dude!" Marley said angrily.

"You know, I don't even know why it's even bothering me! If it were the old me, I'd see this as totally normal!" Chris shook his head.

"Key word Chris... Old you! You have matured far too much to be letting these girls play you like a game of soccer. I guess you liked this one a little bit more than the others that's why you're probably hurting. Or maybe..."

"Maybe what?" Chris asked without hesitation.

"Maybe, you were trying to use her to get over Jacqueline. That's why you're upset it didn't work out." Marley smiled and sat in the chair opposite Chris.

"You know me too well don't you?" Chris chuckled.

"Like the back of my hand." Marley smiled.

"I know what to do." Chris said as he sat up on his chair and started typing something on his computer.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm going to look for Jacqueline's number online." Chris replied.

"So we're stalking now? Nice move Chris! Really nice move!" Marley shook his head.

"I have to talk to her either way. I know Kim is too loyal to give me her number. This is the only way I can find it."

"So how will you tell her you got it if she asks?" Marley asked with raised eyebrows.

"I'm gonna tell her Kim gave it to me." Chris laughed out loud.

"You not gonna do that man. You'll destroy their relationship." Marley rolled his eyes.

"Yeah I know, just kidding. I'd never do that." Chris smiled.

"Yeah I know." Marley chuckled.

"Or would I?" Chris raised an eyebrow.

"Honestly on second thought I think you would. You're totally out of control right now." Marley laughed.

"Got it. There are 2 numbers here. Let me call this first one." He said as he reached for his phone and dialed the number. "It's not ringing."

"Try again!" Marley suggested.

After trying a couple of times to no avail, he decided to go with the second number.

"Someone picked!" Chris whispered to his friend and tried to pick up on the voice. "It doesn't sound like her." He frowned.

"Well say hello!" Marley rolled his eyes.

"Hello?" Chris called out.

"Yes hello? Why aren't you saying anything? Are you playing games with me?"

"No, not at all Ma'am. I apologize for the terrible signal." Chris said.

"It's okay. Who am I speaking to please?"

"My name is Chris Hayes, Ma'am."

"Okay, Mr Chris Hayes, what can I do for you?"

"I am a friend of Jacqueline Baileys. Actually, I was also involved in the train accident that happened weeks ago and Jacqueline, myself and a couple of friends were together all through the times we spent in the woods till we came back. I'm calling because I haven't seen or heard from her since we got back and I would like to know how she's doing."

"Aw! First of all I'm very happy you and your friends including my daughter returned safely from that horrible incident. It's a pity that a lot of people passed away but we continue to keep them in our prayers."

"Yes we do!" He replied.

"Well, I'm Jacqueline's mother and she's doing perfectly well now. She's actually here with me for a few weeks but she isn't at home at the moment. Have you tried calling her through her phone number?

"Yes I did, but it wasn't connecting that's why I decided to try this number. It's been a while since I saw her, as I said, before and I'd really like to see her again. Will it be okay with you if I pay her a surprise visit?" Chris kept his fingers crossed.

"I don't have a problem with that. A friend of Jacqueline is a friend of the family." Jasmine replied.

"Thank you so much. I'll see you soon."

"Chris my man! You just worked your way into her mother's heart." Marley burst out laughing.

"Her mom is very sweet." Chris smiled.

"So what's the plan?"

"I'm gonna go pay her a visit. That's the plan." Chris replied.

"But you didn't ask her mom for the address." Marley shrugged.

"Didn't have to. It's right here." He pointed to the computer.

"What if they've moved from there?

"No I think this last one is the main address. Jacqueline told me they eventually moved to a better location from the one they were living in before so I'm pretty sure this is it."

"Oh, cool then." Marley nodded.

"Besides, asking for the address from her mother would be weird. It's better if she believes I already know it, that way it wouldn't be too weird for me to ask to visit them."

"Very calculated." Marley chuckled. "I wish I could be there with my popcorn to watch how it would go down when Jacqueline sees you in her house." Marley burst out laughing again.

"I swear I've never been more nervous about any other thing in my life." Chris chuckled.

"Yeah, I'd be too if I were in your shoes." Marley stood up and walked over to the window behind Chris and looked out. "But I'm proud of you for finally recognizing the importance of a good woman and going after you want. I'll be praying for you." He smiled and gave him a pat on the shoulder.

"Thanks Man. Well I've got to get going." Chris stood up and started gathering his things from the table.

"Wait, you're going there today?" Marley asked feeling shook.

"Yep! It's Friday and I don't have much to do here anyway so it's best I leave early so I can get back home early." Chris replied.

"You're not wasting any time are you?"

"Not at all! I'll call you and tell you how it went." Chris said as he carried his briefcase and headed to the door.

"I'll see you out." Marley followed after him.
