"imouto..." the blonde woman whispered through the phone, her heart racing. she'd just watched her dead niece walk the earth.

"it's been a long time," sora responded cautiously and curtly, wondering why her sister had decided to call her after years. "what do you want?"

the older sister's eyes softened at the green-head's icy tone. she still blamed her for your death, but she understood – she blamed herself as well.

"j-just listen to me alright..."

silence.

"i saw [name]."

sora's response was but a gasp. until panic began to rise.

"don't you dare say her name EVER" the hakozaki yelled, feeling her blood boil – but not because her elder sister had discovered one of her many secrets.

"sora i'm telling you," she breathed heavily, wiping her tears of shock away. "i saw her. living and breathing. she's alive. and out there somewhere."

fear crept up sora's spine as the hairs on her body stood tall. she felt sick. but the show must go on.

"my baby girl is dead. and it was your fault," she began, clenching her fists for strength. "so don't come back into my life and stir up this shit."

this time, the elder sister was silent. it felt like the wound she'd finally sewn shut had been ripped open again.

"don't call me again, onee-chan," the hakozaki spat before hanging up.

"who was that?" you mumble to yourself as the shimura led the way back to your penthouse, still gently gripping your wrist.

"i don't know," he responded, withdrawn and in his own thoughts.

you could tell he was tense, his mood had changed drastically and not a word was uttered throughout the entire walk home. though quiet, your blue-haired companion was crumbling internally, imagining the implications that might unravel as a result of the unexpected encounter.

why was that stupid bitch there? he frustratedly thought to himself, if [name] recognises her, the barriers may be broken before seika gets here. that'll interfere with the plan. she'll remember everything and turn against the league... against me... but on the other hand, this might be the push that would convince them to bring her into the league...

"is everything alright, tenko-kun?" you ask him, tugging at his sleeve.

turning to you, you could see his frown clearly. with eyebrows furrowed and hair falling over his eyes, you chuckle at his expression.

"you look like a little boy who got coal for christmas," you giggle, taking the bags from his hand and walking away.

in that moment, surrounded by your harmonic laughter his world stopped. all he could see was your gentle smile. he loved that you didn't bother yourself with the world — aside from the fact that you were basically on house arrest. you did whatever you wanted, whenever you wanted. you were always yourself. and he loved that about you.

he felt like he could be himself around you. he was carefree and didn't have the pressures of the plan or the league drowning him. you were his escape. whenever he was with you, he didn't lose his temper, in fact most of the time — he had control of it.

"let me put my bag in the room and then i'll help."

"don't worry i can do this, just go relax," you call out as he picks up his bag and walks towards the guest bedroom. "you are the guest after all!"

it takes a few moments for this to register before your heart drops.

dashing after him, your feet slam against the floorboards.

"W-WAIT!"

turning with a raised eyebrow, the male stood midway between the door he had already opened and the hallway in which you had rushed to.

"i-i-i" you stutter, tiptoeing to looking behind him and into the room. "i haven't changed the covers!"

looking at your nervous [e/c] eyes for a few good seconds, the shimura sidestepped to let you in.

as you scan the room, you heard the male's voice speak up.

"was someone staying here?" he questioned, dropping his bag onto the floor and taking a whiff of the air.

"no," you respond a little too fast, replacing the covers.

"so why're you changing the covers then?" his red pupils trained on you, watching your body language.

"well... i don't want you to sleep on dusty sheets, silly," you flick his forehead on the way out, grateful for your quick thinking. "anyway, i'll leave you to it!"

you let out an inaudible sigh of relief as you see that the ravenette who had spent the last few nights was no where in sight. walking out, you close the door behind you, wondering if you'll see the spiky-haired male again.

*

"i hope it lived up to your expectations," you grin, picking up your bowl to place into the sink.

"it always does," the male responded, stretching his arms before copying your actions with his own bowl. "and now, dango!"

laughing at his reaction, you pull out the plastic container holding the dango you'd bought from the markets. walking towards the tv, you shuffle the kittens over, taking a seat in the middle of the couch to which tenko plopped right next to you.

"what do you wanna watch?" you ask, taking a small bite out of the japanese dumpling while your friend manages to fit all three dumplings in his mouth.

giggling at his face, you poke his cheeks as he struggles before a ding! comes from his phone. he places the empty skewer back into the box before grabbing a second one while pulling his phone out.

turning your attention back to the tv, you take another bite out of your dango. "what is it?"

"fuck," he hisses, running a hand through his hair. "i forgot there's a meeting, i need to go."

"oooo this late? sounds serious..." you say, browsing through netflix. "can i come?"

thrown off by your response, he turns to you with widened eyes and raised eyebrows.

"i'm joking! relaaaaaax!" you giggle, "i know you do important work for the pro heroes, i wouldn't want to be an inconvenience or anything."

"r-right." the shimura composed himself before pushing his form off of the couch and ruffling your hair, "i'll be back later."

"okay, have fun at work~" you singsong before he closes the door behind him with a small smile.

*

"oh look... boss finally shows up," the ravenette says snarkly as his lanky figure leans against the wall.

"you're late, tomura~" the yellow-eyed female called out from her seat at the bar.

clenching his jaw, he stalked passed the two he considered imbeciles and nodded to kurogiri.

"i want bakugo katsuki."
