"w-w-what's up?" dabi could hear you stutter faintly through the door as he gripped the knob.
the ravenette wanted to storm out and knock the living daylights out of the shimura, not that he knew it was actually shigaraki — not that that would change anything.
"i'm staying the night," the blue-haired male said as he walked up to you.
he gently grabbed your face, moving it in all sorts of directions to check for any injuries — slightly pulling on your eyelids to check your pupils. you let a soft smile rest on your lips as you saw through his coldhearted facade, seeing his worried expression slowly crack through. when the two of you were younger, he often acted like this. he liked to protect you, to make sure you were always by his side so — and you were.
"tenko-kun, i'm fine now," you roll your eyes playfully, covering his hands with your own and removing them from your face.
chuckling at your childishness, his warm persona was gonna in an instance, being replaced by the cocky egotistical male who sat down on your couch, propping his feet onto the coffee table.
eyeing his position, you clear your throat loudly enough for him to notice.
"if you're staying, then feet off please, tenko-kun." you say with a sassy undertone, placing a hand on your hip.
tilting his head with a smirk on his face, he rolled his eyes before removing his feet from your furniture.
your heart was still beating rapidly, fearful of dabi being discovered but you needed to act like yourself to avoid arousing his suspicion. as you watched the shimura grow comfortable, chiba and kokoto hopped onto him, both resting in his lap. though he tended to act childishly and cold, he had a soft spot for these two kittens and their owner. as he gently stroked their fur, you casually walked to the kitchen island trying to come up with a plan to get him out of the penthouse.
"so since you're staying the night, what do you want for dinner?" you nervously call out from the kitchen.
"hmm," the shimura thought as he childishly hung his head upside down, giving her his full attention. "i haven't had your special katsudon in a while."
hearing his decision lit your face up — you knew you didn't have the ingredients to make katsudon so this would pose as a perfect excuse to get you and tenko out of the house.
"there's nothing special about my katsudon," you chuckle lightly. "but sure thing! however, we do need to grab some things from the markets."
quickly slipping on your gloves, you walk towards the door and motion for him to follow. letting out a long sigh, the blue-haired male pushed himself off the couch, securely placing the two kittens in their playhouse before following you out the door.
"maybe we can grab some dango too!" the shimura suggested, letting his inner child out.
"you know if people heard you, they'd honestly think that I'm the older one," you said, rolling your eyes as the two of you exited the building.
"well you do look older..." he teased, ruffling your hair.
offended, you send a forceful nudge to his abdomen.
"i-i was joking..." he said, clutching his stomach, still laughing.
"hmph!" you respond, crossing your arms and walking ahead, leaving him behind.
*
it'd been around ten minutes since the hakozaki and shimura left and the ravenette finally stepped out of the guest bedroom. grunting, he slammed the door closed, infuriated that she had left with this tenko-kun.
