tenko had come back later than anticipated. the league had come up with a plan to capture the bakugo kid they'd hope to bring onto their side. now they just had to wait three more days. it was an ambush at the forest reserve where a training camp was being held. if everything goes according to plan, they should have the blond hedgehog in the palm of their hands in no time.

punching the code into the pad, the door opened, revealing your sleeping form sprawled across the couch as netflix asked if you were still watching. chuckling at the sight, he turned the tv off and kneeled by your face, watching you sleep. he gently brushed away the loose [h/c] strands that covered your eyes and caressed your face. though gentle, your pores were susceptible to movement and pressure which caused you to move away from his cold touch slightly.

soon, my love. he thought with a rare soft smile playing at his lips. you'll join us and fight by my side.

gathering your smaller form in his arms, he held you close to his own chest. he walked slowly towards your bedroom; afraid you'd wake up. he shivered, remembering the one time you'd cried because he'd woken you up from a 'once-in-a-lifetime- dream'. he placed you under the covers, tucking you in. giving you a light peck on the forehead, he took a final glance at your peaceful face, feeling the guilt begin to swallow him up from inside.

closing the door behind him, he let his back slide down against it. he held his head in his hands as he remembered that dr seika was coming in two days to treat your headaches. the procedure was a twelve-hour process that the average human wouldn't be able to survive. however, with your quirk, your energy can be replenished as the treatment is being carried out. therefore, your body would never go into shock, but that doesn't mean there weren't any drawbacks. you were treated every couple of months and then given pills which prolonged the effects of the treatment. despite this, you were most vulnerable the few hours post-procedure, which is why you were always in the care of the shimura – someone you trusted and knew would protect you no matter what.

he hated putting you through that pain.

but it was what had to be done.

it'll all be worth it soon.

morning kitten

walking to your phone on the kitchen island, you open it to see a notification from an unknown number. judging by the message, you had a pretty good idea who it was, but you didn't want to mistake anyone who had accidentally sent it to the wrong number. that would just be plain awkward for both parties.

who is this?

you giggled to yourself, a small part of you hoped it was dabi, ever since he'd left things had become a little boring. of course, you were grateful the shimura was spending time with you, but you didn't want to bother him with your shenanigans. speaking of the blue-haired male, you walk towards the guest room to see if he's awake. getting to the door, you crack it open just wide enough to pop your head through.

the room was still dark since the curtains were pulled together, shutting the light out; however you could still see his bareback facing you. he was sleeping on his stomach and you could see his back rise and fall as he inhaled and exhaled. as you stepped back quietly, you heard a purr and was sure the two cheeky kittens had snuck themselves into his bed.
