The BIG reveal...

maybe not that BIG, but pretty decent size.

Anywho, without further ado, I present to you,

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Chapter 33 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Nothing was left except for a badly burned building that was finally put out by the fire department, a few firefighter trucks, and yellow caution tapes surrounding the premises to keep people from coming too close to the building.

Tony was quiet, quite the opposite from his heart which was hammering in his chest. "Ned, you said he was here." Peter wasn't anywhere to be found. Tony had asked Friday to scan the building, but everyone, fortunately, had been evacuated, and it was completely empty of life.

Ned said, "Yeah, he was but then he was taken by this villain."

Tony took a deep breath, trying to calm down his racing heart. "Taken where?"

Ned's voice had a tremor in it, showing the feeling of fear that he was trying to hide. "I don't know. The cam- I mean, the phone we were talking on- stopped working for some reason."

Tony hovered above the area. Why would Peter come here? "Why was he here in the first place?"

"He was, um, was going to buy a sandwich from the nearby deli?" It came out more like a question than a statement, so Ned added, "Yes, yes he did because he was hungry. Very hungry. Peter's always craving for food." Ned forced out a laugh. That was odd. Peter didn't eat large portions at home. In fact, he ate rather small ones. And besides, Tony thought he told Steve to make sure Peter ate something. Why would Peter come all the way down here for a sandwich?

Another thought occurred to him. Didn't he tell Friday to notify him whenever Peter left the building? And when Ned first called, Friday claimed he was in his room, doing homework. Something was not adding up here.

Tony put Ned on hold. "Friday, where is Peter?"

"Peter is in his room, doing homework. He asked not to be disturbed."

"Override that request. I want to talk to him."

"Request is overridden. Unfortunately, Peter is not in the building, and I have no other way to contact him."

"Where is Peter, Friday?"

Friday responded with what she was programmed to respond, even though she was aware she was lying, "In his room, doing homework."

It looked like Peter had done some meddling with his A.I. Tony wasn't surprised. Peter was a bright kid, and he was fully capable of doing so, except he wished it wouldn't lead to him being kidnapped by a villain, as his friend claims.

Deciding to join the team on the ground, he landed next to Steve and Nat.

Steve looked around. "Tony, Friday said Spider-man was here. Are you sure?" Tony wasn't sure of anything anymore, but someone beat him to a response.

"He sure was," a voice said behind the three. They all turned and faced a firefighter. "Saved three people and a dog. What a good guy. We need more people like him on the streets, helping out the community."

"Did he leave already?" Steve asked the firefighter.

The firefighter frowned. "No. This random guy started attacking him, and he won. Dragged him in a car and off they went. Crazy, I know. I'm sure it's all over the news already."

A guy attacked him and won? Excuse me, Tony thought. The Avengers had fought Spider-man multiple times, and he always managed to slip away. What happened that one guy was able to overpower him?
