nightwraith17 did this with songs. I'm doing it with albums...because I have a large music collection. :D
I was also tagged by autumn_sunfire while writing this. You're welcome. :D
1. At the Edge of Time - Blind Guardian
My Rhetoric teacher introduced me to this metal group. I was not into metal before, but after finding out they did an entire LOTR album, I was sold.
I also discovered my productivity increased when I listened to them while working on school. Guess what was on 24/7 when I was studying for exams?
I took an entire midterm while blasting this album (homeschooled here so I can listen to music, provided I don't use Youtube). Passed with an amazing score. I'll miss music during exams in college. xD
Above is the first song I ever heard by them. So good.
2. Over the Garden Wall
I cannot recommend this soundtrack enough. Even if you haven't seen the show (which you most definitely should), it's a gorgeous soundtrack with music spanning many different genres. It will make you laugh, it will make you cry, and it will move you...provided you've seen the show and know the context.
My favorite has to be "Come Wayward Souls" which is as creepy as it sounds. :D
I'm saving for the vinyl at the moment. Totally worth it.
3. Beatles Essentials
I'm cheating because it's a playlist, but it shows my music tastes so...
Ever since I saw the film Yesterday (great movie, by the way), I've been obsessed with the Beatles' music. Nothing beats jamming out to their songs with my youngest sister, who loves them too. (My other sister hates them and got mad at me when I tried to play them this week. We disagree about music most of the time. This is also the one who hates most musicals, including Les Mis. *sigh*)
Yesterday is definitely my favorite though.
4. Les Miserables Soundtrack
Of course this is on here.
I hate the movie soundtrack, but the original is fantastic. Still need to finish the book though...
"Look Down" is definitely one of my favorites.
5. How to Train Your Dragon (entire trilogy)
Words cannot describe how much I love the scores to these movies.
