During the long wait, I had fallen asleep. Dreams blocked out my thinking and the pain.

"Ellie. Ellie. "

I opened my eyes to see Lucas. He had a slight smile on his face. His eyes glittered a light gold.

"What?" I answered groggily. A yawn stifled out of my mouth when I saw Sam next to me in the empty bed. "Sam's here?"

He nodded. "Isabel and my dad checked for anything supernatural..."

"And?"

"She's a hell raiser." He told me softly, as if telling me not worry about it. "Isabel found a scar probably from Dr: Kevin. That's where the weird feelings came from." He explained.

I blinked as I looked at my best friend, unable to comprehend her human side anymore. "How is that possible?" My voice barely a whisper.

He gripped my hand, as if realizing the chance of me having the Darkness to be a hellraiser. "He injected her with hellraiser blood. Probably something newly reborn. "

A gave a long exhale before looking back up at the plain, white ceiling. Around me, my life was falling apart. "Figures. Is she wanting to kill us?" I asked annoyed, plus I was really anxious to kill Dr. Kevin.

He shook his head. "No. Isabel counteracted the hellraiser poison but she is a demon. " His words felt like punches to the stomach.

I gave a long look at Sam, wondering if I could see a physical difference. Just faintly, I could see a streak of red blossoming from her dark midnight hair. "Lucas, do you see that?" My voice was barely audible compared the silent that fell into the room.

"See what?" His gaze went to Sam, up and down as if he was Sherlock searching for an unknown clue.

"T-the red." My voice quivered, as he glanced to Gavin who had gotten up and was looking intensely at Sam.

"Do you see it, Dad?" Lucas asked.

"I do." Isabel entered, her hair up in a high ponytail and her hands in clenched fists. "Hellraisers were the end of the experiments from the original Demons." Believe it or not, I knew I wasn't going crazy. My own eyes were black and gold/silver, proving that I was half of what they meant.

"So, will Sam be ok?" I asked them, shaking with fear. Lucas put his arm around me, his body heat relaxing me.

"She should be." Gavin said, scratching his chin. "She'll just be an awake demon in a couple hours."

Isabel hand brushed her hair before moving it completely into a bun. "Look, you - Ellie, need some rest and we have to figure out our next game plan."

"I agree." Lucas chimed in, kissing my forehead gently.

"But, before we leave this town; I have to do two things, ok?" I asked everyone.

Lucas looked down at me, holding my hand. "What two things?"

I inhaled a deep breath. "Bury my mom and face Derek. "

And I didn't need to say anymore. I curled up against Lucas and closed my eyes, hoping the Dreamworld was better than this one.

I awoke in the dreamworld, an abundance of fiery flowers greeting me as I pushed myself of off the soil. The world was silent, almost like it was soundless movie when I spotted my mom and dad; reuniting for the first time since my fathers death.

"Dad? Mom?" I called to them as I stepped foward.

They both turned around, relief washing over both of parent's features. My mom looked like an Angel, her skin looking like mini stars that travelled all over her body in an organized way.
