The First Call

Nina's birthday party

So, I told Nina to come to a sleepover and little did she know there's a party waiting for her.

I went to open the door. I immediately hugged her and Daisy came as quickly as she could. When Nina saw the other people her jaw dropped.

"How did I not see this coming?" She said going to greet the others.

After some time Caleb asked for some silence because he had something to say.

I saw him shaking a bit so I gave him a quick smile and went to mute Cardi B for some time.

I stood by Andrew giving him a smile too because we were on this too.

"What's going on?" Nina asked confused looking at Daisy and me.

"I need you to stand riiight... Here," Caleb said heading Nina to the centre of circle that all of us made.

"I'm so confused right now... Caleb?"

"I know, I know." He took a deep breath. "So. It's been quite a journey since we met. All those ups and downs in our friendship. But I feel like we clicked, you know, that there is that one spark that makes everything so intense when I'm around you." He stopped. "So I wanted to give you this." Then I came in the circle, gave Caleb a box and went back next to Andrew. Caleb gave the box to Nina and she opened it. "I hope you like the first part of your present."

"Caleb. I... Noo." She was so surprised. It was an album with mostly their pictures but there were some of the whole squad. And under every picture was a date when the photo was taken and a note. "I love it."

Caleb sighed with a relief. "The second part." Then Andrew went in the circle and gave a smaller box to Caleb and then Caleb gave it to Nina.

Andrew went back and hugged me from behind. "I see you're nervous." He whispered in my ear.

I turned to face him and smiled.

"No way!" Nina said. She was holding a ring made of white gold with a small sparkly diamond. "You're not proposing to me, are you?" She asked and everyone laughed.

"Kind of," Caleb said obviously nervous. "And the third part..."

I could feel Andrews arms hugging me tighter. "Here it comes." He whispered again.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" Caleb asked with a big smile.

"Yes! Yes! Of course I will!" Nina said excitedly.

And then Caleb kissed her. "She said yes!" He said breaking the kiss.

All of us congratulated them. Then Nina called Daisy and I to come to my room.

"Ok so what is all this about?!" She asked with a big smile.

"About you!!" Daisy and I said.

"You're dating Caleb girl!" I said with a smile too.

"I know, right! That's crazy!" Nina said.

We stayed in my room for some more time when a knock on the door interrupted us. It was Ben.

"It's time for presents," he said.

"We're coming," Daisy said.

We were in the living room again. Nina set on the couch and Caleb was next to her handing her present by present. First one was from Ava. She was still at her family's home. She made four matching bracelets with our names. Then she opened Ben's. It was a Friends merch, a hoodie. Brent got her a Cardi B t-shirt. Drew got her a t-shirt with Shakira. I got her a black shorts whit white text "hips don't lie", like Shakira's song. And finally, Daisy made her a beautiful birthday card and she also drew her. And of course, the chocolate cake.

"I love you all so much! Thank you!" She said giving each one of us a hug.

"We love you too!" I said.

We partied for some more time and it was time for people to go. Nina gave Caleb a goodbye kiss and he left. Now it was just Daisy, Nina, Drew and I. Nina and Daisy went to my room while Drew and I cleaned up everything.

When we were done, we went to my room.

"Happy birthday Nina," I said, like, 10th time that night.

"Thank you Ash." She stood up and gave me a hug.

"Ok so I'll leave you girls alone now," Andrew said giving Nina a hug too.

"Ok. Goodnight Andrew," Daisy said.

"Goodnight," he said also hugging Daisy and then me and then giving me a quick kiss on the forehead before leaving my room.

"What was thaaat??" Nina asked smirking.

"Ahh! This 25th of February...!" Daisy teased us both.

"Shut up, please." I blushed. "Ok, let's prank him when he falls asleep." I smirked.

They both smirked back and we started planning the prank.
