The First Call

Hold my hand

A week passed and a lot has happened.

"Nina please listen to me," Caleb said going after Nina who has just seen him kiss someone else.

"There's nothing to be heard." She answered not even looking at him.

I was next to her. Daisy was sick so she didn't come to school.

"But-" Caleb tried again.

Nina stopped and turned around. "Congrats. You are on my fuck off list now." She turned again and continued walking.

"Nina, don't be so harsh. I'm sure he didn't mean to do it." I tried talking to her but she wouldn't listen to me.

"She kissed me. I don't even know who that is!" Caleb continued following us.

Nina stopped once again. "An angel and a devil live inside me. It was on you who you would wake up. And you chose the wrong one."

"I'm sorry. Please. You know my heart belongs to you. You are the most beautiful girl I've ever met, I can't describe how beaut-"

"Please stop. First of all, beautiful isn't a size. Second of all, you didn't mention my personality. I guess you liked me because of my look, not because of who I am."

"But, I-"

"I said stop. I don't want to have anything with you anymore." A tear formed in her eye. She ran to the bathroom and I followed.

"Hey..." I went closer to her and hugged her. "It's ok, dear. Everything will be just fine." I said patting her back.

"He fucking cheated. I trusted him. I just made a fool of myself. How could I even think someone like him could like me?!"

"Hey. What he did is something that every couple goes through. I'm sure he was telling the truth. Nina, he really cares about you."

"It didn't seem like he does."

"Stop. You are overreacting." I sighed. "Do you remember your birthday party?" She nodded. "Do you remember who planned it out?" She nodded again. "Then how can you say he doesn't care about you?"

"That was two months ago."

"Don't be like that. I think you should listen to him and work things out."

"My heart first itches, then I stop caring. That's just me. I meant what I said, I don't want to have anything with him anymore."

"Nina, you love him!"

"I know." As she said that, she left the bathroom.

I took my phone and first texted Caleb.

Ashley: nothing, she's really hurt..
Caleb: i really didn't kiss that girl! you know how much i care for Nina, i would give my life for her!!
Ashley: i know, i will do everything i can
Caleb: thank you

Then I texted Daisy.

Ashley: some girl randomly kissed caleb and nina saw it and now everything is fucked up
Daisy: dang, that sucks.. have you talked to her?
Ashley: yes, of course. she won't listen. you know how she's like..
Daisy: yea.. i'll call her after you finish classes
Ashley: ok, i've got to go now, soccer game should start soon
Daisy: who are you gonna cheer for, huh?😏
Ashley: you're so funny😑
Daisy: say hi to drew from me☺️💛 baii
