"Jungkook, please clean your room," his mother said one Saturday afternoon. Jungkook wanted to tidy his room for a while but he never found the time or the desire to do so.
"Do I have to?" He asked his mother who looked at him through the hallway, "yes, my sister and her son are coming for dinner" Jungkook knew how much his aunt loves cleanliness.
His mother had an older sister who was a single parent, and his cousin was a year older then him, Jeon Wonwoo, he was gay, Jungkook was the first person he came out to, from him, he knew all about the community, he even knew his cousins crush on a boy from Jungkook's grade, Kim Mingyu.
The day Wonwoo came out to him was the day when the two walked to Jungkook's favorite book store and they heard someone cursing someone else and then calling them a faggot. When they got home, they both sat on The younger's bed and Wonwoo explained to him that being in love with a man is normal and fine.
Jungkook never really thought about it, he was thirteen at the time.
The black-haired boy sighed and started to pick up clothes from the floor, the stinky went to the laundry and the not so bad went back to the closet. A stack of books was placed on the floor next to the very packed nightstand. He took all the books he already finished and organized them on the shelf.
He moved to his desk. Many half-written papers were all over. He placed some of the papers in a bag for recycling and the ones that stayed he looked for a place in his drawer to put them there. He opened an empty drawer he didn't know existed and there was a brown notebook inside with some wired design he took the notebook out and placed the papers instead. He thought, after putting all the pens and pencils in their place inside his pencil case he placed the notebook on the now clean desk, he'll think about what to do with the strange notebook later.
There was a Knock on the front door and from what he heard the one to open the door was Jung-Sook.
"Hi, Aunt Lina," the seventeen-year-old girl said. "Hi Wonwoo", Jungkook was on his way downstairs when the two family members walked inside the living room.
"Nice to see all of you," Lina said.
Nara walked to the living room and hugged her sister, "long time," she said.
Junghyun was sleeping on the sofa when it happened and woke up from all the noise.
Mr. And Mrs. Jeon finished making dinner while everybody was sitting in the living room, "how are you Jung-sook? How are the exams?" She asked, Wonwoo was sitting next to Jungkook but both of them were quiet while Lina tried to start a conversation, "I'm studying," the girl answered.
At some point, Lina went to help her sister Arrange the table leaving the teens alone.
The teens were quiet, most of the time Wonwoo and Jungkook would start a talk between them while Junghyun would take a nap and Jung-sook on her phone but not this time, the awkwardness was in the atmosphere.
