He opened the door and saw the raven-haired boy flipping through the pages of a book while sitting on the floor mattress, he was so focused on his reading that he didn't notice the older boy standing right there looking at him with a smile. "Hi," Tae said, making the scarred boy look at him with his big doe-like eyes. "I..." The younger said immediately, closing the book of the magical creatures. "It's okay, I wanted to show it to you." Jungkook put down the book and just looked at Taehyung still sitting there being all cute and huggable. The hell are you thinking about, Kim Taehyung. Jungkook, when he noticed that he was sitting on the place where the older boy would sleep, immediately stood up and looked down on his feet.
"Kookie?" Tae asked, the younger still didn't look at him. "Can I..." He took a big breath and said, "can I hug you? I kind of promise I w..." He didn't finish because of the shock of feeling the younger arms around his waist. He hugged back not long after. Jungkook's forehead was resting on his shoulder. "I didn't expect that." He murmured, putting his hands around the younger's shoulder. "You promised, so .." Jungkook said his voice was quiet and peaceful. Taehyung closed his eyes and rested his face inside the younger hair, sniffing it lightly.
The two stayed like that for what felt like hours, which in reality it only was around two minutes. The two didn't want to let go of the other, they felt so comfortable in each other's arms. "Hyung?" Jungkook asked not to let go yet. "What is it Kookie?" "did you find a teacher yet?" Tae smiled, "I did, I'm meeting him tomorrow afternoon," he told the scarred boy. "Hyung?" Tae giggled at how cute the younger was. "Yes, Kookie?" "do you want me to take you tomorrow to the song's bakery?" "if you wouldn't mind." "I wouldn't, I want you to meet a shifter," Jungkook said, his voice this all-time was quite as if he was whispering so nobody will hear what he has to say.
When they let go of each other, they didn't dare to meet the other gaze. Both will be lying if they'll say that they didn't miss the other's touch. But they had to let go. They were inches away from each other, Tae looked at Jungkook's tattoo from much close, little stars covered his right side of the neck to behind his ear. It was beautiful. The raven-haired boy did the same, looking at the brunette's tattoo and trying to imagine what his collarbone symbol looked like, the older said it was of a sun. Jungkook wanted to see it.
"We should go and brush our teeth and go to sleep," Taehyung said, making both of them a little disappointed. It's just that he didn't want it to be awkward and for the younger to not feel comfortable showing him something that refers to exposing some skin. Like everybody says, consent is something important, so if he won't ask now, he'll ask when he'll know that the younger is less awkward with him and more comfortable. Jungkook nodded his head and both went to the bathroom to do their night routine. Jungsook's door was closed and Junghyun's door was half-open so that they could see him playing on his phone.
The two continued walking to the bathroom together, Taehyung standing a little behind Jungkook who looked like he was trying to avoid him. Did he do something wrong? The thing is, Jungkook was so awkward and flustered from what just happened a couple of minutes ago that he couldn't make himself look at the older without thinking about being close to him again. He was confused. And when they got to the bathroom and stood next to each other in front of the mirror it was like the awkwardness shifted away because of an eager question of the younger. "Why do you think we can see our tattoos in the mirror but not through the camera?" the younger whispered the question while taking his toothbrush and putting toothpaste on it, as well as on Tae's as well.
