~ Part 8 ~ I Thought You Said This Was Supposed To Be Scary! ~

Evermore - Beauty and the Beast

-James POV-

I don't think I'll ever be able to get over cars. Or drink fountain machine things. Or all this food. Or movies. Muggles are cool.

I follow Lily through a doorway into a large and dark room. I'd heard of a movie before, but actually going to one is a completely different thing.

"Alright, come on, I got us seats in the back," Lily whispered. "And you gotta stay quiet, ok? People don't want to be disturbed. Whisper, guys."

Lily led us up to four seats in the back of the big room. It was honestly really awesome; basically a huge muggle television, and rows and rows of chairs in the dark.

We took our seats in he back. When facing the screen, we were on the far left. It was Marlene on the end, Sirius to her right, Lily to Sirius's right, then me on the right of Lily. The movie turned on, the lights dimmed, and a hush fell. I could feel myself grinning out of excitement.

The movie was pretty creepy, but nothing frightened me too much. Marlene didn't seem bothered by the fright, either. Sirius, however, screeched every time a scary thing happened, and kept on muttering things like "Don't go in there don't go in there don't go in there DO YOU HEAR ME DON'T GO IN THERE!" And then a girly scream would follow. Everyone had been shushing Sirius the whole time. Lily was pretty scared too, I could tell, but expressed in a less obvious way. She had her legs pulled up to her chest, and was shaking before the big parts, and then would jump.

There's this one pretty creepy part going on right now, I'm not gonna lie. Sirius was muttering loudly, and Lily was noticeably shaking. Sirius suddenly screamed, and Lily jumped up, and grabbed ahold of my arm. Pretty sure Sirius is holding onto Marlene's arm too.

I felt a bolt of electricity as she did this. My skin felt warm and prickly where she was touching me. Well I'll watch a horror movie any day if Lily'll grab onto my arm.

We kept watching until the end, and she kept hold of my arm. I don't mind this at all.

The movie ends, and a murmur erupts, and the lights turn on.

"That was good," Marlene says, unfazed.

"Are you kidding? It was great! Psh, Lilyflower, I thought you said this was supposed to be scary!" Sirius exclaims.

"Says the guy who was screaming and muttering like a madman the whole time," Lily shoots back.

"Says the girl holding on to her boyfriend for dear life," Sirius counters with a smirk. Lily's cheeks turn beet red, and she immediately lets go of me.

I give a small smile. Aw. She's so cute when she's embarrassed.

"Alright, alright, let's go," Lily says.

There is the huge popcorn bag sitting on the ground filled with the cheese fry container, and about a million empty candy cases. There were 5 cups; the two Icees and the three fountain drinks. There were also two corn dog sticks inside the bag. The cookie dough bucket was beside the trash filled popcorn bag.

Ohh that was about the best thing I've ever tasted even though my stomach is about to explode.

"Uhm... I needa go to the bathroom," I say.

"You and me both, brother. One too many corndogs, ami right?" Sirius says, elbowing me as we all stand up.

I just roll my eyes and we all follow Lily out. She's holding the cookie dough thing, and Marlene's holding the popcorn thing. A sweet looking old woman walks up to us, looking to be around her 70s or 80s. She has long ginger hair, with a few white streaks, pulled up into a neat, tight little bun at the top of her head. She's wearing a white shirt, blue sweater, and a long skirt.
