-James POV-

Alright, so I know I was acting all cool when I said 'the dorm that we share', but-wait, was I acting cool?-there were fireworks going off inside my body when I thought about me and Lily Evans sharing dorm.

I follow Lily as she strolls over to the towards the hallway. I see Minnie standing in the doorway there waiting for us.

"Miss Evans, Mr. Potter. I assume you know that you two are sharing the Heads dorm," Minnie says. We both nod. "This way, then."

The old professor briskly walks out of the Great Hall and turns right. She walks up a staircase, and it doesn't move until all three of us step off. The staircases must be scared of Minnie too.

We finally reach a painting of a young man sitting on a chair beside a table. The man is wearing a suit, and looks extremely posh, and mannerly.

"You two may agree on a password, and tell it to the painting," Minnie says, then indicates to the painting. "This man, in the painting, is Fredrick. You will tell him your password, and that will be it for the rest of the school year. Both of your trunks are already inside. Good luck with your Head duties, and come to me or another professor with any issues or questions."

And on that note, Minnie walks off without a glance back.

"Well... what... what do you want the password to be?" I ask Lily.

"Well, as long as it nothing like 'James Potter is hot' or 'I love James Potter', then I'm fine with whatever," Lily replies.

"I was thinking... 'yes I'd love to go out with you dear Jamiekins'," I say, smirking to which she rolls her eyes exaggeratedly. "Fine, fine."

"Well, we did something with meaning for all the house passwords... why don't we just do something stupid and random for ours," Lily suggests.

"What, you think us sharing a dorm is stupid? How could you, Lily?" I ask, feigning hurt, an even wider smirk growing.

"Ugh, you're impossible! Just come up with a password," Lily responds, but I couldn't help my smirk grow even bigger when I see the edge of her lips curving up into an almost smile.

"Alright... how about..." I trail off, trying to think of a good password. "Quaffle! Because... I'm a chaser, and you love me."

"Don't exactly know where the you love me part fits into that sentence, but it's better than James is amazing," Lily says, indirectly agreeing with me. She turns to the painting. "Right then, Mr. Fredrick. Erm... we'd like the password to be Quaffle, please."

"Of course," Fredrick replies to Lily surely. The painting swings open, and the Head Dorms are revealed.

I am blown away at the sight before me. There is a large, high ceilinged room with windows high up.

There is a grandiose common room that has a large fire place to the left of the room and a tall bookshelf of school books on the right. There were two fluffy, deep red chairs on either side of a small table in front of the bookshelf. There was a deep red couch, and two red seats surrounding the fire place. It vaguely resembled the Gryffindor common room, what with the color scheme, the fire place, and just the home-y feel of it.

And at the back of this large room were two staircases; one to the left, the other to the right. At the top, the two staircases led to a connected hallway looking over the big common room. At the top of the left staircase was a door that said Head Girl. Top of the right staircase was a Head Boy door. And in the hallway that connected the two staircases at the top, there were two doors.

I race up the staircase and into the doorway closest to Head Boy door and walk into a huge bathroom. It has a large bath, a fancy shower, and a two-vanity sink.

I walk out of that one, and see Lily walk out of the other mystery room.

"I read about this room!" Lily exclaims, indicating the door she just came out of. "When you walk in, the room basically turns into what you want it to. So like, if I really wanted to read, it'd turn into a library."

Oh, so like the Room of Requirement. Except in my own dorm!

"Hey, isn't that cool? Haven't heard of something like that before," I respond, then pause a moment before speaking again. "I'm going to go check out my room."

I turn around and walk into the Head Boy room.

It was kind of your basic dorm-room, sort of like the boys dorms in the Gryffindor Dorms, but with a few tweaks. First of all, there was only one bed, and it was large and had a red comforter. Second, rather than a window seat like how it is in the boys dorms, there's a wooden desk right by the window.

Though my favorite part of the room was the wall behind the headboard of the bed. It was decorated top to bottom with posters, any kind you could think of. Some Gryffindor banners, some chaser posters, a poster with a Quaffle on it, a poster with the Chudley Cannons team on it, a poster with the latest broom edition, the Cleasnweep 4, and much more.

This room was pretty bloody awesome.

I walk out, and across to Lily's room. It seemed much more... Lily than mine (which I suppose it should).

Her room was very similar to mine, except that hers didn't have any posters, and mine didn't have a ginormous bookshelf on one wall. The entire left wall was just a shelf filled with books, and right next to it was a comfy-looking leather chair that I could just picture her curled up and reading in.

"Cool room," I comment with a grin.

"I love it! It's perfect, don't you think?" Lily asks. Not waiting for an answer, she walks out of the room towards mine. "I'm going to see yours." She stands in the doorway, observing. "Wonderful! It seems like just the right room for you."

Lily comes back into her room, and I take a step out of hers.

"Well, I'm going to get unpacking.... goodnight, Potter," she says, that last part with a playful smirk, making it almost seem as if she used the name 'Potter' as a term of endearment rather than an insult.

I raise my eyebrow, the same smirk tugging at my lips. "Night, Evans."
