Boy In The Bubble - Alec Benjamin
-Lily POV-I felt so much better after the conversation in the closet with James. My nosey conscious tries to butt in and say that it wasn't just a conversation, but I brush off my conscious and continue strolling down the corridor to potions Monday morning. I take a big whiff of all the potion ingredients as I step in, and Slughorn meets me at the door.
"Morning, Lily!" Slughorn chirps. I smile at him. "I hope you'll be attending my Halloween party this Friday!"
"Oh! Yes, of course I will," I respond. Every year ol' Sluggy-I'm spending too much time with James and Sirius-has a Halloween party for the Slug Club members.
"And don't forget to bring a special someone with you!" Slughorn tells me with a friendly raise of his eyebrow.
"I will try to find somebody to go along with me," I answer, chuckling.
"Oh I'm sure it'll be no problem," Slughorn says with a wink. I nod and walk off to me and Marlene's desk.

"Quaffle," I tell Fredrick, and the painting swings open. I stroll in and plop myself down on a couch, tossing my bag to the side.
I notice James leaning back in one of the chairs, out like a light. I find myself looking at him as he's sleeping (creepy, I know. Just shut up). I admire-I mean observe-his dark raven hair that's sticking out in all directions. I suddenly feel the urge to go over and touch it. Damnit Lily, do not touch his hair! I resist the urge, and instead look at his... arms! I'll look at his arms to stop myself from touching his hair. I see distinct, well cut muscles along his arms. Damn, he must bloody work out a lot.....
"Enjoying the view there, Evans?" I hear James drawl. I jump, and look up to his face. I feel the heat rush to my cheeks and I immediately look away. I grab my book bag and open it, searching through it. I can feel James smirking at me. "You know you're adorable when you blush, Evans."
I don't answer, but I think my cheeks getting warmer answers for me.
"It's quite a stalker move, there, to stare at someone while they sleep, you know," James says with a smirk and a raised eyebrow.
"Oh hush, you should see who's talking before you go and say something like that, Mr. I'll Stare At Lily All Of History Of Magic ," I retort.
"Oh, but dear Lilykins, I couldn't possibly rip my eyes from your beauty," James says. And there go my cheeks again, getting redder by the minute.
"Slughorn's having a Halloween party," I blurt.
James blinks at me. "That's all well and good, but I don't believe I'm part of the club," he points out after a pause.
"Well," I begin, wringing my hands. "Slughorn said that... that we could each... um, ah... bring someone along with us to the party, and-"
"Oh, dear Lils, you only had to ask! Of course I'll be your date to Slughorn's party!" James exclaims with a wide smirk/smile. I can never particularly tell which one.
"Oh. Well, good, then. Um... wear dress robes... and... it's on Friday... and... it starts at eight, so... meet me here on Friday night at eight, and be ready," I say, then grabbing my book bag and rushing hurriedly up the stairs. I open the door to my room, and throw my bag onto my bed. I shut the door, and lean with my back against it. I feel a smile tugging at my lips.

I walk into the Great Hall side by side with Marlene on Tuesday morning for breakfast, taking a seat in between James and Mary. The conversation immediately comes to a stop when me and Marlene sit down. I arch my eyebrow at everyone, as does Marls.
