I Took A Pill In Ibiza - Mike Posner

-James POV-

I stand out there for a couple minutes. I hear talking, but it's most likely Lily talking to herself or it's else someone from a different compartment.

But then I hear yelling, and it's definitely Lily. I catch some things.

"GET THAT INTO YOUR HEAD?"

"MOST OFFENSIVE THING YOU COULD CALL ME!"

I should probably go in there and see what's going on, but I can't peel my ears away from this for some reason; I'm frozen on the spot.

"AGAINST US FILTHY MUDBLOODS! US HORRIBLE BLOOD TRAITORS! US DISGUSTING HALF BLOODS!" Her voice kept rising at each sentence.

I didn't know what she was talking about... ? But I sure knew she wouldn't go around insulting herself or others like that. Either I'm not getting the full picture, or something is wrong.

"DON'T TAKE THE CHANCE TO KNOW THE OTHERS YOU CALL DIRTY-BLOODED, THEN YOU SHOULD'NT GET THE CHANCE TO KNOW ME!

"I said GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!"

And at that, I saw the compartment door slide open, and I'm immediately filled with rage. Snape was in there. Now I understand why Lily was yelling. Because there was a little shitbag in there who needed to be yelled at.

"Snivellus. What the hell were you doing in there?" I ask.

"That's none of your business," he growls.

"Oh, I think it is," I growl back, with equal venom. "You see, I am Head Boy, and it is my job to be in people's business."

"Get out of the way," he snaps.

"I don't think I will."

"Get out of the way, Potter," he spits, saying Potter like it's an insult.

"Fine. But, like the generous soul I am, I'll leave you with a little welcome back gift," I say. "Engorgio," I mutter, pointing my wand at his rump. It immediately enlarges. "Ha! Classic."

Snape turns around, and glowers at me. But then someone steps out of a compartment, and he rushes into another so as not to be seen with an enlarged bum. I smirk.

I turn around to open up the Prefect compartment door. I open it a crack, but then I hear Lily crying. Just little sniffles. But even that is extremely surprising, and worrying. Lily never, ever, ever cries. Not when I always humiliated her in our younger years. Not when she fell off her broom from very high in first year. Not when Peeves dropped an endless amount of eggs on her head; Peeves seemed to like pranking Lily. Not when Sirius had accidentally broken her arm; long story that Sirius made me swear not to tell anyone. Not when Remus had stopped talking to her for like, a month; it was part of my plan to get Lily to like me-I don't know how that would get Lily to like me, though... I know... stupid. Not even when Snape had called her mudblood in 5th year.

Flashback~>

"There you go," I huffed. "You're lucky Evans was here, Snivellus-"

"I don't need help from filthy little Mudbloods like her!" Snape spat.

"Apologize to Evans!" I immediately roared.

Lily showed no emotion. "Fine," she replied to Snape blankly. "I won't bother in the future. And I'd wash my pants if I were you, Snivellus."

<~Flashback

If she had cried then, then she was sure good at hiding her emotions.

I sit down, my back against the compartment door. I feel like if I should go in and console her. Comfort her. But... that seems like I would be intruding.

Then she's sobbing. Hard. I can hear her pain, her hurt, that she's bottled up inside herself for so long. I can tell she's had that yell, that cry in her for a while. And now it's all coming out.
