A week passed by since Rosalind's funeral. It was still difficult to adjust to this sudden change, but we were all trying.

Today I was meeting up with Brianna and Lenny. We all decided to spend some time together and help each other move on.

I gave myself a final touch up before closing the door behind me and leaving the house. I stepped outside and took a breath of fresh air. Brianna's car was already waiting for me, so I silently slipped inside the passenger seat.

Things were normal than before. Nobody had forgotten the tragic yet, but we were all settling down. I missed the town life. Everything was so low-key. You didn't have to constantly worry about updating your status or always looking like a Victoria secret's model.

During high school we always used to go to this small cafe called Picasso. It had amazing burgers and sandwiches. That's where we were meeting today. When the car stopped, I looked outside and grinned as I saw the friendly surrounding. We had a blast when we were in high school. All of us were satisfied with our lives. Moving to the city and seeing other people's lifestyle took all the satisfaction away.

Lenny was already waiting for me and Brianna near the entrance. His hands were in his pockets and his eyes were observing the others. Brianna and I both flashed a smile at him as we made our way to the cafe.

"Carl has already saved us a booth." He said and we followed him inside.

The booth we got was the second one to the left of the door. Brianna and I sat together while Lenny sat in front of us.

I folded my hands together and looked at him. He was struggling to hide his feelings and was failing miserably at it.

"Do you want to order first?" Brianna asked him.

"I am kinda hungry, so let's do that." Lenny replied and called Carl.

Carl was a man in his late 30's. He always served us during high school and was extremely nice. He walked over with a small smile on his face and got his notepad out.

"Oh, you two have grown so much." He told me and Brianna in awe.

"Time tends to do that to you." I said politely.

"You still look as young as ever, Carl." Brianna said and Carl just laughed.

"I guess time doesn't work very well here." He joked and I nodded my head at him.

"I'll have a cheeseburger with pickle and fries on the side." Lenny ordered.

"I'll have a vegetable club sandwich with some lemonade." I joined in.

"I think I'll have the garden salad with some water." Brianna ended.

Carl walked away and I looked at her with one eyebrow arched up. "A garden salad and water? Really?"
